Great book! George was surrounded by crime, poverty and racism as a youth. Not only did he overcome those obstacles he made a conscious decision that he wasn't going to be another foster care statistic. This book talks about how he overcame those struggles and also the people around him who played a role in helping. Some of those people knew they were helping but some will never know the impact they played in this young man's life. This book made me take a look at my own life and wonder if I am doing enough to help those around me. Great read!
