From the moment Laura Rivers steps foot into Englewood High, she notices the stares-and they aren't the typical once-overs every pretty new girl endures. The students seem confused and...spooked. Whispers echoing through the halls confirm that something is seriously off. "That new girl looks just like her," they say.

It turns out Laura has a doppelgänger, and it isn't just anyone-it's Sarah Castro-Tanner, the girl who killed herself by jumping into the Navasink River one year ago.

Laura is determined not to let the gossip ruin her chances of making a fresh start. Thanks to her charming personality and California tan, she catches the eye of Englewood's undisputed golden boy, Charlie Sanders, and it's only a matter of time before they make their relationship official.

But something is making Charlie and his friends paranoid-and Laura soon discovers it has to do with Sarah Castro-Tanner.

What really happened to Sarah? Why is Charlie unraveling? And how does Laura Rivers fit into it all?

After all, she's the dead ringer for a dead girl.

Thank you to Netgalley and Full Fathom Five for providing me with an ARC for an honest review. Holy Hell. I could not sit still the entire time I was reading this book. Very rarely am I as captivated with a book as I was with Dead Ringer. This book held my attention from the first word until the very last. To be honest I did not know what I was getting into when I requested this book. I am glad to say that Dead Ringer took me by surprise. Jessie Rosen did an amazing job writing this story. She took her time developing the story and every single plot twist was perfectly placed. There were very few times when I could guess the plot twist before it happened. If the story had unfolded faster than it did I do not think that I would have liked it very much. The book had three different characters telling the story, which normally would make a book very confusing and hard to follow. With Dead Ringer it works perfectly. The story was easy to follow and not confusing at all. I highly recommend this book to EVERYONE.

ARC kindly provided by Full Fathom Five via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Review Frankly and honestly, ‘Dead Ringer’ is NOT a novel I would usually pick up. In fact, it is one I would have probably avoided if not for the little nagging voice that spoke in the back of my mind and told – no urged – me to press 'request' on Netgalley. The novel is COMPLETLEY surrounded by mystery...and it's the type of mystery that scares me. *shivers* It is told in third person with three different point of views: Laura’s, Charlie’s and Sasha’s. This REALLY gave depth and strong intensity to the novel. The novel began quite well; I was surprisingly hooked and ready to read for a while. The author wrote in such a way that for some unknown reason I did NOT dislike the novel but was instead intrigued and curious. I honestly would have disliked this novel if it HAD been written any other way. The author used a wonderful writing style that left me begging for more: it was quite, silent and deadly… The novel progressed quietly and with a whole lot of mystery through Laura’s, Charlie’s and Sasha’s POVs. I followed Charlie as he tries to forget THAT night and find out who has been terrorising him and his friends with photos, emails and snapchats. Laura tries to figure out who and what happened to Sarah Castro-Turner whilst crushing on Charlie. Sasha, meanwhile, uses her skills as a hacker to watch Charlie and his friends Amanda, Kit and Miller. The characters were very well developed. They were dynamic and so VERY real. When reading though their POVs or when reading about them through another character I would often experience this jolting and spine-tingling feeling that made them come to life. I would often wonder when the novel would pick up its pace and progress faster or with more drama and problems, but it continued its storytelling at a slow yet enticing pace. Just when I would get bored or hope for something more, the author would give the reader something new to digest or nibble on: something that would keep them reading. I LOVED the plot twists and the surprises and the shockers! It made the story soooo good! The author managed to weave a web where you think you know who's guilty but with ONE single chapter, EVERYTHING could change. I would expect NOTHING! Some authors write and leave bred-crumbs, but with this novel: No. It doesn't give away ANYTHING! When I was about halfway through the novel that was when the REAL facts, surprises and shockers started unravelling. That slow pace that still kept you hooked in the beginning half of the novel? GONE. OBLITERATED! The information just kept coming faster and faster until you didn't knows left from right and up from down...and most importantly: right from wrong, good from evil. This book certainly deserves a re-read. There was just so much going on that I had to stop when something new came up and rethink back on the things that I read and try to remember. Here are some things I WANT ALL READERS TO KNOW BEFORE PICKING UP THIS NOVEL: stuff at EHS is SERIOUSLY messed up. You think you know messed up? Be prepared to learn a WHOLE different type of messed up. Two: EVERYTHING IS NOT AS IT SEEMS! Plus, this novel is as SCARY as can be: I'm not kidding you! I had NIGHTMARES because I read this novel before going to bed. Don't say I didn't warn you, so be PREPARED! ... read more at ...

A big thank you to the author Jessie Rosen and Full Fathom Five Publications for giving me a chance to read the ARC of this book for an honest review. Dead Ringer Author Jessie Rosen Expected publication: November 11th 2015 Dead Ringer is a YA novel and although I'm an adult I do enjoy reading YA novels. Dead Ringer is about a girl name Laura that shows up to the first day of her new school her senior year. The first thing that she notice is that everyone in the school is staring at her and talking about her like they know her. Apparently she looks like a girl that had killed herself 18 months earlier. Laura is determined not to let the gossip get to her. She wants a to change from the shy person that she used to be in her old school to a carefree person. Laura catches the eye from one of the most popular guys in school. The head soccer player and of course his ex-girlfriend on who is determined to make her life hard. Jessie takes you on a story that is told by a few different characters and as the plot unwinds it keeps you wanting more. Some of the story line is just plane out creepy. I thought Dead Ringer was a great book with a big twist at the end that leaves you hanging for a 2nd book.

Dead Ringer by Jessie Rosen is a chillingly devious novel with numerous gotcha moments. It really starts to make you reconsider your thoughts on who would normally be a villain. I received this copy of Dead Ringer by Jessie Rosen from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

A fast-paced, modern-voiced mix of Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl. A really fun read that is easy to envision on the big or small screen.

This book was so darkly vindictive. To me, it really shows the woman scorned perspective, and more so of an impressionable teenage girl! This book kept me hooked until the abrupt ending! I wasn’t prepared for it to be over! I’m torn to see that it continues on and that I’ll have to wait for closure! There are so many twists and turns to this read that you don’t want to miss it!
