Overview

When Sara answers the doorbell at her father's beach house to find a delivery boy with a florist's box, she thinks that her inattentive husband remembered her birthday after all. But the ugly, dead roses inside shock her. 'Enjoy your birthday, Sara Maxwell', the handwritten note card says. 'It'll be your last...'
A sick joke? Sara thinks so - until someone cuts the brake lines on her car and she barely escapes with her life. Handsome detective Mike Nolan takes the threat seriously, and his feelings for her build even as the threat to Sara and her five year old daughter grows.
A shocking discovery awaits Sara as her shadowy attacker finally steps into the light to strike. And Mike may not get there in time...
