Margaret Daley's new novella Deadly Hunt is Book 1 in the Strong Women, Extraordinary Situations series only found in ebook format. Tess Miller, a bodyguard by profession, is on a much needed vacation in her uncle's remote Arizona cabin when a strange man comes knocking on her door. Is he friend or foe? What is he doing on in the middle of nowhere? And perhaps most importantly, why was he shot and left for dead? Daley is a veteran of the inspirational romance genre, and Deadly Hunt is exactly what you'd expect from an author of such experience. It is a book that is decidedly Christian in nature. No cussing, no sex, no overt violence, etc. I would be comfortable in letting my tween-age daughter read it. I loved the depth she gives to her characters. Their backstories make the interesting and people you can care about. It just feels like she cuts off their continued development as believers too soon.  Tess comes from a very difficult childhood that is still impacting her relationships with men even after becoming a Christian. I would have loved to have seen the developed even further. The struggle she faces is one I'm sure others have faced and would benefit from discovering how she handles. I would also have loved to have had the tension surrounding the main male character's situation drawn out a bit more. It seemed rather abrupt in the end. However, that said, I do understand that this was a novella and not a full-length novel. Deadly Hunt will hold your attention to the very end. It makes a delightful afternoon of light reading.

5 stars I purchased Deadly Hunt by Margaret Daley and this review was given freely. A clean and suspenseful drama that is both action packed and a complete sweet romance. Tech company owner Shane by chance falls into the mountain cabin where bodyguard Tess is vacationing. This novel is complex has a good balance between action, intrigue, attraction, and Christian faith.

Seriously tired of books about religion disguising themselves as a novel. Waste of money.

Page count and publishing date should be included in blurbs also indicate if story is really a chapter from a novel as were two recently

Although I can honestly say that I am not a true outdoorsman, I thoroughly enjoy reading stories about people in the great outdoors. This first book in the Strong Women, Extraordinary Situations series begins with the heroine all alone in a remote cabin in the mountains of Arizona where she has gone for vacation. Initially it seems like such a tranquil place to go and unwind for a while although I would not want to make the long hike to get there. But her tranquility only lasts for a night. With the intrusion of a seriously wounded man bursting into her cabin and passing out in the floor, the tranquility is shattered. That truly is not the life for me but I can really get caught up in the story. The action is fast and the excitement continues throughout the pages of the book. It’s a quick read but held my interest to the final period. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys action, suspense, and romance in a Christian novel. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.

Deadly Intent (Strong Women, Extraordinary Situation Series, Book 2 ) By: Margaret Daley Deadly Intent is the second book in Strong Women Extraordinary Situation series. This novel is a story in itself and can be read alone. I love the characters in Deadly Intent. Sarah and Ian are the two main characters and the novel is easy to follow. Margaret Daley pens another wonderful suspense with romance novel. Sarah is a strong woman and she is faced with some dangerous circumstances. She is a Texas Ranger and she know her job. Sarah and Ian knew each other when they were teens. Ian left and went his own way. He is now back and running his dad's ranch. Ian's horse has come up missing and they send Sarah to check things out. Why would they send a Texas Ranger out to check out a missing horse? There are several things that happens at the ranch that puts their lives is danger. Sarah is trying to keep Ian safe and also guard her feelings and heart, she will not get her heart broken a second time. Ian wants to protect Sarah. This is a real action packed novel and it grabs your attention right from the first and keeps you guessing what will happen next. I was given a copy of this book by the author for my honest review and I have given it.

Deadly Hunt by Margaret Daley Tess Miller is a bodyguard and she cherishes her time at her uncle's cabin twice a year. Time alone. This trip isn't going quite as she planned when a man who's been shot makes it to her cabin's door. And she's his only help since they are a long walk from anywhere. Shane Burkhart was just enjoying some time in the mountains, hiking and photographing. Next thing he knows he wakes up in a cabin being tended by a woman. He's been shot. Worse yet...it might not have been an accident.

Deadly Hunt, a romantic suspense, by Margaret Daley is about a female bodyguard who knows better than to get involved with a client whose life she is trying to protect. Margaret Daley does a great job of keeping the action and suspense going throughout the story. Intrigue, danger and betrayal, what more could you want, in a great novella done the way only Margaret Daley can do! Don't miss it!

This contemporary romantic suspense was so exciting! Tess, a bodyguard on vacation, ends up rescuing a man. Instead of the relaxation she needs, she becomes Shane’s lifeline. Shane needs Tess to protect him from whoever is trying to kill him. Tess doesn’t know if she can keep a professional distance with this man that brings out feelings within her that scare her. Great emotional connections between these characters.
