Storyline kept me reading and reading. Liked the way the characters were developed and how their emotional changes happened. It was an excellent romantic suspense novel. Thank you.

I do not order and read thrillers in order to read about a fundamentalist, naive, born-again hero restoring the heroine's "faith." Not all of us want our spirituality in our entertainment, business or politics. Ms. Daly's saccharine prose is a turn-off for me. It was a waste of my time. It is a good thing it was only 99 should have been free. The USA is not a theocracy, yet. Should it go that route, I will be immigrating. Separation of church and state should also include not having Christianity of the evangelical kind forced upon us at every turn. What a disappointment.

I was captivated from the first paragraph! I've read the other books in the series but this book can definitely be read as a stand alone! The story is fast-paced and I read it all in one day. I couldn't put it down. Kira is an Asst. DA who put the wrong man in prison for the murder of her best friend but when new evidence is brought up, he is released. She feels terrible about it and apologizes to Gabriel, explaining that she was doing her job. Gabriel, of course, is furious with her but wants the real killer caught because 2 other murders have happened so now, a serial killer is on the loose and Gabriel's family is not safe. As Kira and Gabriel try to solve the murders, they encounter a lot of resistance from the community, of course, because many still believe Gabriel is guilty. Small town stuff! Kira is a great character and I really admired her strength in standing up for Gabriel when she knew she had sent him to prison erroneously. When the killer sets his sights on Kira, Gabriel softens his animosity towards her and tries to protect her. I really liked how Gabriel was a fair man, even though he had a bad marriage, an ex-mother-in-law who treats him terrible and a town that wouldn't forgive him! It takes a "big" person to do that. I would recommend this book since I enjoyed it so much! The end of the book left a "cliffhanger" so I can't wait to read the next book!

Deadly Noel by Margaret Daley Strong Women, Extraordinary Situations Series Book Five Kira Davis is the county assistant district attorney in her hometown. Last year her best friend was murdered and everything pointed to one man. Only they were wrong. Now she lives with the guilt of convicting the wrong man...and the fact that a murderer is still on the loose. Gabriel Michaels is home again. He spent eight months away from his daughter because no one would believe him. No one would even listen to his side of the story. And even though he's out of jail, he still battles those who continue to think of him as a guilty man. The last thing Gabriel wants to do is help Kira find the real murderer. Then he realizes no one is safe until that person is caught. Not his daughter, his sister...and not even Kira. As always, Margaret Daley has written a great story that keeps you guessing which character is guilty.

The plot of this story just grabbed me right from the start. Kira was responsible for sending the wrong man to prison for murder. Now she must deal with the reality that Gabriel is out and definitely not guilty. Deadly Noel had so much great tension running through it. I was very frustrated with certain people in town who refused to believe that Gabriel was innocent, even though there was plenty of proof. I thought that Kira and Gabriel handled themselves so well in many difficult situations and I loved the romantic attraction that began to develop between them. The author did a great job of creating a few possible murderers lurking in the small town. It made Kira and Gabriel’s task of finding the true killer a challenging one. This story had a great romance, lots of danger, a sweet father/daughter connection, and the feeling that if these two main characters didn’t work out the mystery, then no one would. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Deadly Noel is a perfect suspenseful to read to add to one's Christmas reading. It is full of hold on to the edge of your seat action and mystery. There's, also, great clean, romance. I think this may be my favorite of the Strong Women, Extraordinary Situations series. Highly recommended! 5 plus stars.

This is the fifth book in Margaret Daley’s Strong Women, Extraordinary Situations series. This story is very suspenseful with an undercurrent of romance. However, as the book opens, the signs surely don’t point to any potential romance. Think about it: you have just been released from prison after spending eight months there due to an assistant DA who convinced a jury to find you guilty of murdering your estranged wife even though you were innocent. Would you even want to be in the same town with her? Or suppose you are that assistant DA who comes to realize you almost ruined a man’s life because you accepted the results of shoddy police work and followed some preconceived ideas about the case. Would you have the courage to ever face that man again, or would you feel inclined to get as far away from him as possible? These are just some of the factors surrounding Gabriel and Kira. Add to that the fact that more women have been murdered and Kira has come under attack herself. Oh, by the way, consider that many of the people in town still think Gabriel is guilty of murder. His faith in God was renewed while he was in prison and helps him to hold his head up during some very difficult days. I recommend the book for anyone who enjoys a good clean suspenseful book. I received a complimentary copy of this e-book from the author in exchange for my honest review.

Deadly Noel ( Strong Women Extraordinary Situation- Book 5 ) By: Margaret Daley Deadly Noel is the fifth book in Strong Women Extraordinary Situation Series. Even though these are series, Deadly Noel , can be read as a stand-a-lone. I had no problems following the story or the characters. I really enjoyed the book and the characters. Daley grabbed and hooked me right from the start and did not let go till the end. Deadly Noel is full of action , suspense, romance, and it is one of those books that when you start reading you had better be holding onto your seat or you might get left behind. The two main characters are likable, Gabriel is a man sent to prison for the murder of his wife. Kira is the Assistance District Attorney who sent Gabriel to prison. More murders and Gabriel is set free. Did he murder his wife? There are some people whom thinks he did. What about Kira, how does she feel ? Can they find the murderer before it is to late, and is Kira putting her life on the line? This is a story based on forgiveness. I was given a copy of this boom by the author for my honest review.
