Dear Bridget, I Want You by Penelope Ward, Vi Keeland

From the New York Times Bestselling authors of Stuck-Up Suit and Mister Moneybags comes a sexy new standalone novel.

Dear Bridget,

I’m writing this letter because it’s highly doubtful I’ll ever garner the courage to say this to your face.

So, here goes.

We’re totally wrong for each other. You’re the proper single mum with a good head on your shoulders. I’m just the carefree British doctor passing through town and temporarily living in your converted garage until I head back to England.

But here’s the thing… for some bloody reason, I can’t stop thinking about you in very inappropriate ways.

I want you.

The only reason I’m even admitting all of this to you right now is because I don’t believe it’s one-sided. I notice your eyes when you look at me, too. And as crass as I appear when we’re joking around about sex, my attraction to you is not a joke.

So, what’s the purpose of this note? I guess it’s a reminder that we’re adults, that sex is healthy and natural, and that you can find me just through the door past the kitchen. More specifically, it’s to let you know that I’m leaving said door cracked open from now on in case you’d like to visit me in the middle of the night sometime.

No questions asked.

Think about it.

Or don’t.

Whatever you choose.

It’s doubtful I’ll even end up sliding this letter under your door anyway.

If any book deserved more than 5 Stars Dear Bridget , I Want You is it, I fell in love with the characters and with the story all within the first chapter. Once again the amazing writing duo of Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland gives us another book that is a must read!!! It's hard to say something that hasn't been written before and I really don't want to give a review that's full of spoilers so with that in mind you will want to meet Dr McDreamy with the sexy British accent, you will fall in love with Bridget and her adorable little boy, you will laugh and at some point you will cry because it's not all plain sailing for this couple. It's a book I couldn't put down I needed to finish it in one sitting. This duo certainly know how to give us a stoty that steals a piece of your heart, it's a book that I certainly will read again. You need to read Dear Bridget so what are you waiting for it's live !!!!!

5 “I Want You” Stars! "... I loved everything about this book." The Review: I can never go wrong picking up a book by Penelope Ward or Vi Keeland, but with these two together, it’s ALWAYS an epic win! Told in alternating POV’s, Dear Bridget, I Want You was simply amazing! From the fun and entertaining meet/greet between the mains, to the friendships, to the realistic, sexy, completely addictive story, I loved everything about this book. Story/Characters... Bridget Valentine is a single mom who works hard, raises her eight year old son with bravery and courage and hasn't put herself out there since her husband passed away two years ago. Needing extra money to help support the mortgage, she rents out the converted garage to her friends best friend, unknowing that it’s the same doctor who she salivated over and completely embarrassed herself in front of, just three months earlier. Simon Hogue is a resident doctor working in the US. He’s gorgeous, sexy and doesn’t mind putting himself out there, but he’s not looking for a commitment of any kind. When he realizes he’s moved into the same house as the woman he treated three months ago, the same woman he hasn’t stopped thinking about, everything starts to change and his heart begins to open for Bridget and her son, Brendan. I loved Bridget and Simon right from the start! I’ve said this before in my reviews ... these two authors nail the meet/greet EVERY time! It’s always fun, exciting and full of sexual tension. The moment Simon walks into the exam room, there’s instant chemistry between him and Bridget, and I came away from that chapter with a huge, goofy grin on my face, excitedly flipping the pages to see what happened next. Their journey to a happily ever after was consuming, sweet, brilliantly written and super steamy as Dr. Hogue has some of the cutest dirty-talk dialogue I’ve ever read. The characters were a win all the way around. Simon stole my heart, swept me off my feet and made me fall in love with him, one hundred percent! Bridget broke my heart with her loneliness and pain, but then mended it back together with her determination, her love for her son and her zest for life. When she opened her heart to Simon, it was beautiful and I felt it. And that ending? Stunning and wonderful! It felt complete and left me lighthearted, smiling and totaling believing in real life happily ever afters! The Wrap Up: Dear Bridget, I Want You was fun, flirty, a little bit angsty and emotionally satisfying. My tummy fluttered, my chest panged and the smile just wouldn’t leave my face. These two authors always bring the “feels” and always deliver a masterfully told story with a journey you want to read over and over. This one is definitely going into my reread pile.

Dear Bridget, I Want You is my new favorite Penelope and Vi book. It was funny, happy, sad, and surprising at times. Not only is the first meeting between Simon and Bridget hilarious, so is the second one. Those meetings were definitely unique and entertaining. I love Simon! He's a hoot and often put a smile on my face, especially with that accent. He's such a good guy. I love everything he does for Bridget and Brendan and how much he cares for them. Bridget has had a hard couple of years since losing Ben. It can be difficult for her being a single parent, but she's a great mom to Brendan. She works hard to give him a good life and she deserves to be happy again. It was a very good storyline that often had me chuckling to myself. It kept me sucked in, especially after that jaw dropping, yes my jaw litterally dropped, twist. I just never saw that coming; I was completely unprepared for that moment in the book. It really makes me dislike some characters for what they did and makes me feel for other characters. It was a very well written and entertaining book. I enjoyed it from start to finish, especially the adorable ending!(less)

What's not to love about this book? I mean look at that cover, and once you start reading you get to meet Dr. Simon Hogue, not only is he British, he is sexy and smart with a great sense of humor. I love the way that he met the heroine Bridget Valentine, not only the fish hook episode but also the days of the week knickers, that was hilarious. Add in the fact that Bridget has an eight year old son, a yoga instructor friend named Calliope(love that name), a swear jar, and the hots for the dirty talking British doctor and you will find that you cannot put this book down. It is told in dual POVs and it is a lighthearted, sassy, fun read with just the right amount of angst thrown in. Loved it!

Absolute sexy with a bunch of sweet, touching and OMG I didn't see that one coming! It was impossible to put this story down. Simon Hogue was just looking of a place to stay while he finished his residency in the U.S. before he went back to England. He never expected the attraction he feels for his landlord much less the growing feelings that develop between him and Bridget, much less him and Bridget’s nine year old son. He knows he’ll be leaving and attachments should be avoided, but he’s still hopeful that her attraction is just as strong. A widow at 34, Bridget wanted to supplement her income by renting out her converted garage. She never would have guessed she’d be cohabitating with the hot, young new doctor working at the same hospital. The same man she can’t keep her eyes off, who makes her laugh, smile and blush because everything that comes out of his mouth is a sexual joke. But the chemistry between them is no laughing matter. Can they find a way to ignore it or will they end up with broken hearts when the time comes for Dr. McSexy to leave? Dear Vi and Penelope, I love your books! I love that is started out funny and sexy with delightful banter full of sexual innuendo, then turned to sweet and sexy and then moved to touching, thoughtful and swoony.

Another great read by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland!!! This book seriously has it all... It's hilarious with the banter between the two characters, sexy, and will give you all the feels. And let me tell you there is a twist in this book that you will never see coming!!! Bridget is a widowed single mom who meets the handsome Dr. Simon Hogue when she lands herself in the ER with a bit of a butt problem. Immediately these two will have you cracking up, fast forward a few months and a friend of Bridget needs a place for her best friend to stay. And who does it end up being.. you guessed it, Simon. Now he's renting the room off the side of the house. Simon is a sexy and sweet charmer with an accent and has you drooling for more of him. I know I am. These two authors together are guaranteed to give you a Fantastic read and they did nothing less than that in Dear Bridget I Want You.

Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland always deliver a completely unique story and this was no different. Dear Bridget, I Want You was so enjoyable. This was an easy read that was not overly heavy in the drama department but still managed to sneak in some twists I feel like I should have seen coming but never did. At this point in reading these two I should be guessing the extreme for their twists and yet I am always still completely surprised and taken aback by the twists they deliver. Let’s take a minute to appreciate the Hot British Doctor that Simon is. OH MY GOD. He was so sexy and would love to listen to an audio of this just to hear his voice. He pushed single mom, Bridget, to come out of her shell and open up to being more than just a mom, widow, and nurse. To being a woman again. The sexual tension was off the charts. Overall, the story was so good but would have loved if the angst was even higher, but that is probably just me being an angst lover. The story was sexy and fun and a great lazy day read.

I have only read the first 3 compilation books between Penelope and Vi (Mr. Moneybags is the only one I haven't read) but this one is my favorite. I enjoyed Simon and Bridget's story so much. I loved how Simon's views on relationships and parenting changed before even he realized it. Simon, Bridget and Brendan all grew so attached to one another. As a step parent myself, I know first hand that you have to become friends with the children and that makes it so much easier to fall in love with them. I loved Simon's way of always wanting to make Bridget blush. Really looking forward to the audio version of the book. Also looking to see how Penelope and Vi can top this book. Not sure they will be able to but I'm excited to see them try. Loved this book so much ladies.

DEAR BRIDGET, I WANT YOU by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward is a contemporary adult, stand alone , erotic, romance story line focusing on Dr. Simon Hogue, and ER nurse Bridget Valentine. Told from dual first person perspectives (Simon and Bridget) DEAR BRIDGET, I WANT YOU follows the building relationship between ER resident Simon Hogue, and nurse Bridget Valentine. Through a series of mishaps Bridget is not only Simon’s patient and landlord, but also works side by side with the man who stirs something deep within our story line heroine. What ensues is the building romance between Simon and Bridget, and the potential fall out as Simon’s time in America comes to a close. Bridget is a single mother; a widow whose husband was killed in a motor vehicle accident, and a woman whose entire life now centers around her eight year old son. Simon is a British citizen, spending his residency at a US hospital, and a man trying to escape the memories of the past. Our hero doesn’t do relationships, and has no plans for children or family but meeting Bridget and her son finds our hero reconsidering his future, and the possibility of a happily ever after with the woman and child he has grown to love. The relationship between Simon and Bridget is one of immediate attraction although neither one was aware that they would be working together in the very near future. Bridget will become Simon’s landlord, and Simon will become the man that calls to our heroine’s heart. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense. We are introduced to Bridget’s son Brandon Valentine, and her best friend Calliope and husband Nigel but to add to the already close-knit affair, Calliope is also best friends with Dr. Simon Hogue. DEAR BRIDGET, I WANT YOU is a story with plenty of sexy small talk, and fun and flirty sexual innuendo with a twist to the story line I didn’t see coming. The premise is sensual and inviting; the characters are colorful and entertaining; the romance is passionate and seductive. DEAR BRIDGET, I WANT YOU is an emotional, wondrous and intense story of romance and love.
