About the Author

Bob Pickles took up fiction writing upon retirement. In two years he has authored the first seven interlocking World War One novels in his WW1 series which includes two trilogies.
Originally from Yorkshire Bob worked as a Packaging & Quality Control Projects Manager, Technical Director for a corrugated-board toys company, Packaging Consultant, Retail bookshop owner & latterly as a store Security Guard. He now lives in Cheshire & lists among his other interests -studying military history, playing electric guitar & walking his Shih-Tzu dogs.
Amongst his influences as a writer he names foremost: Ken Follett, Larry McMurtry,Bernard Cornwell, Sharon Penman, Elizabeth Chadwick & Jeffrey Archer. Bob says the series will continue!
