About the Author

Ron Hellard is an established multi-award winning BMI songwriter based in Nashville. One of his biggest hits, "I'm No Stranger To The Rain," was recorded by the legendary Keith Whitley. This song was CMA single of 1989 and Songwriter Magazine's Country Song of the Year. "If There Hadn't Been You" is another #1 song recorded by Billy Dean. T. Graham Brown says Hellard's hit "I Tell It Like It Used To Be" is his signature song. There have been over 400 recordings of Ron's tunes. Many of these are story songs. However, his debut novel, "DEAR JO: EXCERPTS FROM THE BIZARRE JOURNALS OF WALLACE DEAN PRICHARD 1954-1987" ain't got a damn thing to do with country music.
Rather it is a dark twisted adult comedy written in journal form with absurdist situations.
