Overview

Death Embraces (Mortis Vampire Series, #2) by J.C. Diem

Natalie Pierce awakens to find herself buried in a box that strongly resembles a coffin. After some initial confusion she remembers that she has become a member of a very exclusive club; the living dead.

Natalie has three important tasks ahead of her. One: escape from her underground prison. Two: hunt down the creature responsible for imprisoning her. Three: discover who or what is behind the cause of the sentient shadows that only she can see.

According to an ancient prophecy, it is her destiny to wipe out the vast bulk of her own kind. Despite all of the weird and wacky powers that Nat has gained, it seems that not even Mortis can avoid her fate.

Author spent too much time bringing us up to date on what happened in book one. We know this is a series and the first or second could not be read alone or you are left hanging. I may buy the third book but if the same detail hsppens, then I'm done with the series. This book did not have enough if Luc in it. Very short only about 200 pigs for $4 and about 13 pages were devoted to replay of book one.

Enjoyable books, but a bit repetitive. Would be better if every 2 books were condensed into one. Books are around 200 pages. Would be better if one book was 300+ pages. I did laugh, but some details were repeated over and over. Want to know how it ends so might skip a few books to find out.

This book was pretty good. It had light humor throughout the book. Couldent help but to smile. The story line kept my interest.
