When Margo Simon gets word of her mother's accident, she catches the next flight to Tel Aviv. Her concern deepends when she reaches Safed, where her mother, Alice, has been living while studying Kabbalah. What Margo thought had been a simple mishap is actually much more -- Alice's dangerous fall was caused by a reaction to a poisonous herb. Margo Simon is again involved in a unique situation. Rushing to Safed, Israel, with her sister, when her Mother is poisined by accident, by carelessness or deliberately Simon can not accept the theory that it was an accident. The more that she investigates the Kabbalah study group of which her Mother is a member and the peculiar accidents that have occured to other members of the group the more Simon wonders what is really occuring. When the leader of the group is murdered during a religious festival the suspected dangers become all too real. The book is brought to a satisfying conclusion and is a delight. The simplified explanations and details of the Kabbalah add to the enjoyment of this mystery.
