Death Note is an amazing series that keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way to the end. Even if things get confusing, it all gets explained in the end, and you just can't -stop- reading. Obata's art is also gorgeous, as usual. (If you like the art, try Hikaru no Go, it was also drawn by Obata.) Highly addicting, and highly recommended.

This volume was better than I expected. When I heard that Light was giving the Death Note to another person I was worried that it would go even more downhill but I actually enjoyed reading about his successor, Teru Mikami. I am interested to see where this goes. It can either benefit Light or do the exact opposite and expose him. Because he can't talk to Teru, being under suspicion again, there are going to be some inconsistencies, which Near and Mello will be sure to pick up on. However, Light is brilliant so I not sure exactly how it will work out yet. I'm got two volumes left in the series so certainly something will happen and soon. Looking forward to seeing how this concludes.

Complexity, thy name is Death Note, volume 10. In this one, things go even more haywire for Light as Near and Mello join forces somewhat. Multinational doings and really, really deep thinking on who's who turns this volume cerebral, together with near-all bowing down to Kira. Also, what's happening with Kira?Unnecessary addition: I must say I really like Mello's new-found glam.
