The thing Jeremiah Dodge remembers most about his childhood is the dreams about monsters with big, black, almond-shaped eyes. Maybe young Jeremiah had an active imagination, but, then again, maybe not.
As an adult, the dreams intensify and he often wonders if his dreams weren't dreams at all, but buried memories. He begins hearing a female voice in his dreams, telling him that she is coming for him. The sudden appearance of Mae-Rus, an alien from the planet Aurelia, and her warning of impending planetary doom, shock Jeremiah into accepting his dreams as reality.
According to this alien, the human race is in a death spiral, only one generation away from self-destruction. She recruits Jeremiah to become her messenger, announcing the opportunity to join the cosmic community. Reluctantly, he accepts the mission, only to find himself in the middle of a cover-up of galactic proportions. Can he help change the course of Earth's future, or will humanity sadly bring about its own tragic end?

I finished reading Death Spiral and wanted more! Good job by the author of crafting a story set in contemporary times about ET. With all the bad news in the media, this book helped me get away from all that and enter a world where aliens are real, they are here, and they want us to become a part of the galactic community. The lead character fights for not only his sanity, but for his safety and the for the salvation of the whole planet. This is a dark story at times, but I liked that it has minimal profanity, very little graphic violence, and is sprinkled with doses of societal and political commentary.
Fun story that really challenged my beliefs about where we humans fit into the greater cosmos. Lots of very interesting commentary about our contemporary cultural and political issues. It left me pondering the possibility that we are not alone in the universe. And if that's true, it makes lots of our earthly problems seem rather trivial. Read this book!
A fast-paced story that supposes that Earth is being visited by aliens. Set in modern times the story is part scifi, part action thriller, with memorable characters, lots of dialogue, and liberal doses of political, social and cultural commentary. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
An enlightening and fast-paced science fiction novel. The author does a great job of story-telling while mixing in little known facts about aliens, UFOs, coverups, etc., most of which have never been reported by the mainstream media or acknowledged by our own government. I found myself cheering on the main character as he fought against the powers-to-be trying to silence him. Read this book if you've ever looked up at the night sky and wondered what's out there.
