"For anyone who wants to rediscover his/her true self or perhaps find it for the first time, you are invited to join this middle aged professor who quit her job and went to live and work in a vast and imposing desert. It was a winter spent watching, learning, questioning and discovering things she would never have found without her self imposed exile....a beautiful true life story which Dr. Keller masterfully and artfully describes."

I really enjoyed this book about a 'run-away' professor. Probably something that we all have thought of doing at times in our lives. Some of it was really funny and some was a bit contemplative about life in general, but all of it was well written and an easy read. Definitely learned a lot abou Death Valley that I didn't know before. I recommend it- you'll be glad you picked it up and read it.
Inspirational and funny! A great escape for those of us who cannot YET escape our busy lives to live out an old dream. It reminds us why it is important not to forget those dreams because we never know when we might get the opportunity to make it come true -- like this lucky author.
