About the Author

USA TODAY Bestselling author Chris Keniston's love of a good story and frustration with the end of a well known author's romance best seller, drove her to pen her own works of romance and fiction.

Her romantic women's fiction novels include a variety of themes from international settings dealing with wealthy millionaires, family feuds and tropical beaches, to the relationships between family and friends in small town Texas, and to sisterhood and friendship in the award winning novel The Champagne Sisterhood.

Currently working on the contemporary romance Aloha Series, Chris Keniston is enjoying playing with her former military heroes. Using popular themes of small towns and sandy beaches blended with stories of the single dad, survivors guilt, an accidental wedding and more is making the Aloha Series a reader's choice.

A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Author of more than a dozen contemporary novels, including a finalist for the prestigious Golden Heart Award, Chris lives in suburban Dallas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.

Another very good story in this fascinating series that makes me want to buy the next book. The writer gets the reader hooked into the next book as the reader is still finishing the previous one.

Loved the humor, the chivalry, the family, so much about this book. I just felt she changed allegiances too quick. I mean, I get it. Declan is awesome, but I wish there had been more to her realization that Ethan was puppy love and Declan the real thing.

I thought the series was leading Becky to Ethan but loved this story line. As with all the books, I wish the writer did more after they fall in love, but still a great read.

I absolutely love this series and was so excited to read this book. I was not disappointed. Declan (DJ) is the Police Chief in Tuckers Bluff. Becky works with DJ's brother, Adam, and she's been in love with DJ's other brother, Ethan, for as long as anyone can remember. When DJ needs some help, Becky is right there to assist. The more time they spend together, the more Becky starts to realize she has been pining after the wrong brother. I love their chemistry together. It just feels so real. This story was incredible, and I cannot wait to go back to Tuckers Bluff for Ethan's story!

Declan Farraday left the Dallas PD to take the job of Police Chief in his peaceful and uncomplicated West Texas hometown. He just wished the folks in Tuckers Bluff would cooperate. Especially when someone leaves a definite complication on his office doorstep and his only option is to reach out to the one girl in town he has no business asking for help. Becky Wilson loved Declan Farraday's brother, Ethan, since the first grade and the whole town knows it. When Declan needs help, she doesn't hesitate to step up. Working with the normally serious big brother reveals his gentler, sweeter side. The more time they spend together, the more she questions has she been dreaming of the wrong Farraday? It seems none of the Farraday brothers thought of Becky as anything other than their young sister's friend. Spending time with Becky has Declan realize what an amazing and beautiful woman she is. He finds himself lamenting her known crush on Ethan. A wonderful story and I cannot wait to read Ethan's story. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

This by far has been my favorite book in the series...Maybe it's because i really know the characters now and they all feel like family and friends?! What's not to love about a strong police chief who falls head over heels for an abandoned baby that "the dog" had led him to? And having Vet Tech Becky around as a temporary foster mom doesn't make the situation any easier. Why was the baby left at the Tuckers Bluff police department? If you have not read the other books in this series you will not be disappointed with them!

I have said this of each book in the series but it still feels true; Declan is my favorite book in the Faraday Country series. I have loved every one of these wonderful books, but I have had a crush on DJ from the beginning. Delightful humor, lovely romance, tense moments. Life gets more interesting all the time! Yes, the dog was back! You probably know enough about the book to realize the current hook up is between DJ and Becky, not a connection we might have expected, but the transition is handled believably. With Becky’s lifelong crush on DJ’s brother Ethan, our favorite lawman is upset that he is falling for the girl he grew up with, but she is no longer a girl and she is seeing him through new eyes too. A new person in town is causing a major stir and contributing to the newest relationship to bud after a visit from our mystic dog, and an old situation boils over bringing frightening results. I requested and received and early reader copy of Declan from the author because I love her books. The review is completely voluntary and all my own opinion. I always review books I love and love it I do.

With each new Farraday sibling I find myself falling deeper in love with this family. When the chips are down, it's nice to know that someone has your back through good, bad and everything in between. With Declan, Ms. Keniston showed the evolution of family. From broken heart, surprise delivery and falling in love, the author went for simple, with loads of heart and a little bit of magic to create the sweetest dream come to life. Can I just say that I'm loving the phantom dog with a heart of gold and a penchant disappearing and reappearing to lend a helping hand.
