"Boyd skillfully navigates the scorching physical desire and personal insecurities of her protagonists, crafting a relationship that is tense, torrid and sure to keep the pages turning. " ~ RT Book Reviews

Livvy is on the run. And she's escaped to the one place nobody will ever find her.

But the isolated cottage isn't empty. Her refuge is home to a troubled stranger, Tom, there for reasons of his own.

In the intimacy of the abandoned cottage, and the remote wilderness of the island, the electrifying connection between them is impossible to ignore. Both running from their histories and shielding dark secrets, their pasts catch up with them and collide in an unimaginable way.

Deep emotions and powerful chemistry face a painful battle with the tangle of lies, and scars of the past. When the truth emerges, hearts will be shattered.

"Beautiful ... and deeply moving. I could not put it down and am still thinking about it!" ~ Mia Sheridan, New York Times bestselling author of Archer's Voice.

Deep Blue Eternity is a standalone contemporary romance by Natasha Boyd. Livvy is a 17/18 year old girl who is running from her family. After the death of her sister, Livvy has had a horrible life. She runs to a cottage where she won't be found. She expects it to be deserted – she inherited it after her grandmother passed away. She is surprised to find a man named Tom living there. Livvy thinks that Tom is the cottage caretaker and he doesn't say anything to make her think otherwise. Tom is keeping a lot of secrets – including the fact that he knows who Livvy is and has close ties to her family. Tom is a man in his mid-twenties who is tortured by his past. He knows that if Livvy found out who he really is, she would hate him. Tom and Livvy are both at the cottage to forget their pasts, so they don't really ask each other any questions. They just tolerate the other person living there and kind of keep to themselves. They slowly become friends and Tom feels this need to protect Livvy. Livvy is quite immature and is constantly making bad decisions. Honestly, between her immaturity and their age difference, I'm surprised that Tom could grow to have feelings for her. But he does, and Livvy falls for him as well. I loved the author's Eversea series, but I had a little trouble getting into this book. It's beautifully written, but it's a little slow moving. Also, once all the secrets come out, a relationship between Tom and Livvy seems just a little too taboo. Deep Blue Eternity is not a light and fluffy read. It deals with some very serious topics. I don't want to give anything away, but I feel the need to let readers know that this deals with rape/incest. I'm sure other readers that have dealt with this topic in real life might have a hard time with the book. However, these topics were written in a tasteful way. There is no cliffhanger, but I didn't feel that things were wrapped up like I wish they would have been. Though, when it comes to any book ending – I always want to know more. This book was just ok for me. There are a lot of great reviews on this book, so you might give it a shot.

Deep Blue Eternity, Natasha Boyd Genre:  Romance Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews I adored Natasha’s Eversea duo – recently re read them both, wonderful books. So when I saw she had a new book out I had to request. What a terrific read it proved, very different to Eversea but once again a solid five star read. Its interesting how an author can write such different books around the theme of romance. Eversea was very upbeat even though it has some really sad moments, and this one is much darker and more mysterious, and yet both contain a beautiful tender romance.  It explores some dark themes, and Natasha gives some excellent links at the back of the book for those who want to know more or have been affected by them.  From the very start the mystery builds, who is Liv? Why is she one the run, who from,  and what happened six years ago with her sister? Then there’s Tom. What's he really doing in the cottage and what’s he hiding. What’s in the box Liv’s sister gave her? Then throw in the mysterious happenings, are they really due to a boo hag, a sort of ghost, as one of Liv’s co workers thinks, or is someone out to cause trouble for Liv. It’s peopled with a wonderful cast, each with their own backstory, we see the mystery slowly unfold, and Liv and Tom get closer and closer until something happens that blows everything apart. From then on things quickly build to a head, with Liv in serious danger from a psychopath out to assault and kill her. The story is perfect, revealing more in tiny increments and had me desperate to know what was coming next. I loved the characters and the small island feel, and felt as if I was there with them. The romance – how cleverly that crept up, and how tender it was and then wham - that revelation came, I was devastated. Just when I thought poor Liv, after everything she’d been through was going to get some happiness it all disappears. Though the main theme is quite dark its very sensitively handled, and it would be great to think things like this don’t happen. Sadly they do – and far too often. We need to talk about them, drag them into the open instead of covering them up, glossing over them, making excuses. I feel so much for anyone who’s been hurt like Liv, she’s fictional, but its a real problem happening to real people every day.   Stars: Five, an amazing, emotional read. This book brings you into the story. I've never cried and laughed so much through 329 pages. This is one of the best books I've ever read.

Not your everyday boy meets girl romance, Deep Blue Eternity takes a horror of reality, looks at the splinters of the lives it effects, and shows the strength and renewal of faith that comes from true love. Raw in it's intensity, with intriguing support characters, it was difficult to put down.

5 exquisite, touching, forgiving, emotional, powerful, healing stars! Wow! I don’t think I can find the words to make this book justice. It was such an intoxicating reading escape! I am a huge fan of Natasha Boyd. My co-blogger, Ria, made me discover her Eversea series. I read that series in one weekend!!! I absolutely fell in love with those books and I could not wait to see what this author was going to write next. I did not know what to expect of Deep Blue Eternity. The only thing I knew was that I could already predict a book hangover. And, I got one! Livvy and Tom are two people that are running from their pasts. What brings them together is unexpected and welcomed at the same time. Neither of them expected to find each other. Livvy runs away from home to a cottage that could be her only safe place. When she gets there, she finds a stranger living in the cottage. Livvy needs a fresh start in her life and Tom was seriously not in her plans. As days go by, Livvy and Tom get to know each other better. The intense and strong connection that grows between them is undeniable, but the past has a cruel way of catching up and messing everything up. Will they be able to overcome their demons and give love a chance? Natasha Boyd has such a captivating writing style. No matter where she brings me on her writing journey, I will follow. She creates the most amazing stories filled with lovable and memorable characters that steal your heart from the moment that you meet them. While reading this book, I got all the feels. Livvy and Tom’s chemistry was amazing. You cheer for this couple from the very beginning. They have been through so much heartache in their lives that they needed a fresh new start. I wanted them to find the happiness and love that they both deserved. The kind of love that leaves you breathless and makes you feel alive. A love that makes you see the light at the end of the tunnel and pushes away all of the darkness. I really don’t want to say much more about this story. I went in just knowing what the blurb was revealing to me. I think every reader needs to enjoy and fall in love with this story, and these characters, without having any clue where this amazing journey is going to begin and end. Deep Blue Eternity is a story about two people finding each other in the most unexpected way. A story about forgiveness, love and healing. Their past was filled with moments that they both wish they could forget. Yes, they had good moments, but the darkest ones are the ones that are taking over their life. Livvy and Tom have learned a lot from each other. I could not have asked for a better reading escape! This book left me with a big book hangover, a smile on my face and a heart bursting with happiness. You won’t be disappointed with Deep Blue Eternity. I highly recommend it! I give, Deep Blue Eternity, 5 exquisite, touching, forgiving, emotional, powerful, healing stars!

4.5 stars This is not your typical hearts and flowers kind of love story.  It was emotional, dealt with topics that occur daily and show how two people can be touched by the events in their lives to bring them to the same point; which is can they save each other from the past, the lies and the future. Author Natasha Boyd has a way of making not only her characters come alive but the area in which the story is set.  I loved all the details that she put into describing the low country and island.  You can see the brown marsh grass that washed ashore on the beach. Livvy has runaway from her home, from the pain that she has been enduring there.  She has a safe place to go; where no one will find her; where she can be alone but an unexpected houseguest throws her isolation off.  Who is this man in her cottage?   Tom has been staying at the cottage for his own reasons; reasons that he is not ready to share with Livvy.  There are so many secrets to be told.  But Tom wants to save her.  He has too.  But Livvy has her own secrets.   As Tom and Livvy learn to co-exist in the cottage that holds so many good memories for Livvy, neither wants to act on the attraction that is growing between the two of them daily.  The attraction becomes almost another character; pulling them toward each other.  But it is wrong.  Or is it? Once their secrets are told, will Tom and Livvy be able to survive and find peace?  Can they forgive the past and learn to love the future?

**I received an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.** **TRIGGER WARNING So, this book. I'm really conflicted on my rating. Initially I kind of liked the book, but was very much irritated by Olivia. Her actions, the things she did to Tom and others... they got to me. But I hung in there because of Tom's character. By the end, I found myself unable to put the book down, and found the chemistry between Tom and Olivia to be explosive. I also loved how Boyd ended the novel-- very satisfying ending for a book filled with intricate lies, heart-wrenching secrets, and an explosive romance. And come on, who didn't love Marjoe and Pete? And Tom. Oh, Tom. I think I found a new book boyfriend and a new reason to love facial hair. 4/5 stars.

WOW! I have been waiting for this, most recent, book of Natasha's to be released for what feels like forever! And let me just say, the wait was worth it! Deep Blue Eternity is a complete departure from Natasha's Eversea series and she has proven, without a doubt, her versatility as a writer. I inhaled this book and enjoyed every moment spent getting to know Livvy and Tom. The story is a fabulously unpredictable roller-coaster and it's twists and turns will take you to an ending that you least expect! I am recommending this to all of my friends- to everyone I know!
