Full of characters who made you care. Really engaging story--I read it twice!

I bought this book because I really enjoyed The Big Bad Office Wolf. I wanted to see how things were going to progress between Maverick and Lexi. Unfortunately, the pacing was off a bit. The romance came at the end of the story, not during and to me, their first encounter with sex was 'meh'. It wasn't attractive. I'm sorry. I really did enjoy the first book. I will buy the third book because I'd like to see what happens with Desmond and Ryn.

Great novella, wish it would be longer. Characters act like real people with normal issues. Looking forward to the next book!
