Deep Green: Color Me Jealous by Melody Carlson

Jordan Ferguson and Shawna Frye became good friends when Jordan made cheerleader. But when Timothy suddenly dumps Shawna to start seeing Jordan, rumors fly. Shawna gets her revenge, first by smearing Jordan’s reputation, then by tempting Timothy with an offer he can’t refuse. Jordan feels absolutely green with envy—so much so that she considers doing everything in her power to get Tim back. Everything. This second book in the teen fiction series TrueColors deals with jealousy and relationships. Includes discussion questions.

Popular. The thing almost every girl in high school wants to be. Well Jordan is no exception. Not only did she want to be popular, but she also wanted to date the most popular boy in school. Jordan did get the guy of her dreams, but not without a problem of course. She happened to have stolen him from the most popular girl in school, Shawna. Jordan knew that she had hurt Shawna and wanted to make everything right. She tried her best to spend quality time with her because she didn¿t want Timothy to get in between them. Jordan thought she had made everything better between Shawna and her, but apparently she was wrong. Jordan caught Shawna and Timothy together at a party. That is when things changed drastically, and Jordan figured out life isn¿t so sweet in the wonderful world of high school. Shawna knew she would have to work to keep Timothy, and that is just what she did. But Jordan wasn¿t going to give up without a fight, and it was going to be a vicious one because Shawna wasn¿t going to play nice. She first stole things from Jordan to frustrate her, and then the cheerleading coach caught Jordan cussing and suspended her from the squad. From there on Shawna was on a role. She lied and continued to make stuff up to make Jordan look like the bad one. Eventually after Shawna had practically caused an almost fatal car crash for Jordan the tables turned. Jordan told the truth behind everything to the right people, and then the pieces just started to fall. People realized who Shawna really was and people started the figure out that Jordan wasn¿t the bad girl. What would happen with cheerleading when the coach found out the real truth? Would Timothy want Jordan back, and even so would she want him back? You will be flabbergasted at this totally unpredictable ending

Deep Green, by Melody Carson, is about a girl named Jordan Ferguson who ends up dating her best friend, Shawna Frye's, boyfriend. Timothy ends up breaking up with Shawna so he can date Jordan. Both Jordan and Timothy agree they like each other and end p dating. Shawna gets very upset with this and tries to turn the whole school against Jordan. Jordan comes up with a plan and that is to be really nice to Shawna and try to be friends with her, but Shawna takes advantage of that. They all end up at the same party together and Jordan finds Shawna and Timothy together, cheating on her. Jordan's heart is not broken and now the whole school feels bad for Jordan and she ends up getting really good friends. This novel was a really good book to read. It was easy to understand and was always very interesting as well. I would recommend this book for teenage girls, some girls might be going through this same problem and it can help them decide how to handle the situation that they are in. I liked the character Jordan because even though her heart got broken she stayed strong and was able to move on. So, I recommend this book for teenage girls, I enjoyed it a lot.

this book was really great. i am the kind of person that really doesnt like to read, but when i find a book that i cant put down (which is very uncommon) it doesnt take long to read it. i really liked how jordan ferguson and kara became good friends by the end. i thought it was really funny when shawna didnt give jordan ferguson back the beatles album after she betrayed her by hooking up with timothy. i really didnt like when jordan ferguson started lying to everybody and went through all that trouble to pop her tires just for a small attempt to win timothy back, which didnt work in the end. i thought it was really terible how shawna set jordan ferguson and amber elliot's boyfriend and wasnt even the first to apologize. jordan had to be the first one to break the silence. over all this was a very good book, definantly one of my favorites and i would recommend this book to teenage girls because they could relate to it.

The author does a good job getting the reader into the mind of a high school girl--social life is at the center, conflicting feelings of the "in" crowd, choosing between right and wrong... Looking forward to reading the other books in this set.

So, I got this book on tuesday night (last night), and now its wednesday. I finished the book this afternoon! It was amazing and totally full of drama and LIFE, in general. The girls in this book really experience what it's like to have problems; with guys, and also best friends. Towards the end, God plays a big part in Jorden's life which made me like it even more!!! I love this book and would most deff. recomend it to any girl.
