About the Author

Anna lives in Florida with her husband, daughter, and the fictional characters in her head. Her favorite pastimes include reading, writing, drinking wine, and reading and writing while drinking wine. She can shoot a slingshot, speak with a Southern accent and take a nap in the middle of the day, any day of the week—at a moment's notice, no less. She cannot rollerblade, apply liquid eyeliner or find her keys. Ever.

Dr. Elyse Morgan's working on a way to combat the biologically weaponized virus that killed her parents. She lives on her own on a small island, essentially in her own world, minding her own business. Until two armed forces come to the island--one with the intent to kill (team Khaki) and the other with the intent to rescue (team Black). Elyse is whisked away by team Black, hidden under the ocean on board a UN vessel to perform her research and experiments without fear for her life. Enter Nicoli Marek, captain of the Bellator. Elyse does her best to ignore the way his smile affects her--he's an engaged man and that's one degree of wrong she'll never give into. Elyse's addiction to chocolate, her intelligence and whit make her one of my favorite heroines. She fights for what she believes in and isn't afraid to do whatever it takes--even bribe the head of the UN. Well written, funny, heart-wrenching and steamy. I'd work out a lot more if Nicoli was in my gym, usually shirtless!

Very funny and very well written. Hoping she writes more! Maybe something about Ryon!

So. This is the book that I'll be reading forever when I'm in a slump. The snark, the UST, the banter, the swoon, the unbelievably awesome characters... There just aren't enough words to describe how phenomenal this book is. Also? I call dibs on Nicoli. He is the swooniest of swoony boys.
