Perhaps the best book I have ever read on WWII

This is absolutely the best book I have ever read on World War II. Leckie manages to give insightful and detailed information on the battles, the strategic challenges, and what transpired in the Oval office while showing in great detail the thoughts and struggles of the common foot soldier. So very well written there were times I thought I was reading an exciting work of fiction. Robert Leckie is the best writer of our time.

This huge book of WWII s very long, but very manageable. It comes in a very readable form carefully describing the people who took place in the war and the events that happened and who decided it would happen. A excellent book.
