Overview

This book has a very different set of characters. Characters I think could hold the attention and fascinate any child. At least I hope so. It would be wonderful to know that children everywhere in the world might get excited to read and hear about characters that came from me. Tell your children to let their imaginations run with Dellphania Dunnbigher and her family. I hope they can feel the excitement and enjoy every word. Joy Beasley

About the Author

I was born in Fresno, California in 1944 and am now 69 yrs. old was 68 when the idea of this book hit me. I was a housewife with two sons and during quiet times and times traveling in the car I would tell them stories to pass the time. Sometimes it worked and sometimes not. I now have 5 grandchildren 1 who is 24 another (only boy) is 10 and three more granddaughters ages 7, 5, and almost 2. This story came from the 5 and 7 yr. olds when they were spending the night with me and of course always had to sleep with Grammy. One of them asked me to read a story and I was to lazy so I said I will just tell you one. I made up Dellphania Dunnbigher that night. Have no idea where any of it came from other than my head. Several weeks later my 5 yr. old granddaughter was asking me about the story about the ducks. I decided to write it down but couldn't remember alot of it, so I had to call my 5 yr. old granddaughter and ask her. She always remembered events and names and things that took place in the story. This my first and only experience writing a book and could not tell you what made me decide to do it, other than my granddaughters were fasinated with it. During my growing up years I don't recall anyone telling me stories other than my great grandfather. He would make up stories that would absolutely fasinate all the children. Maybe I took after him, I don't know. Nothing interesting about my life other than being a wife and mother and all the adventures and stories that we all have raising our families. My life has been very simple and fun and interesting, but nothing exciting to tell about. Hope you enjoy my book as much as my grandchildren have. I also enjoyed telling it to them. Maybe some of you should try that sometimes it's fun making stuff up as it pops into your head
