Overview

Bubba Lee Shake'emup was from a very poor family down in Mississippi. He grew up in the church and would watch all those grownups during church service and couldn't believe how they were acting towards one another. Instead of being examples for the children they were acting like children!

Entertaining¿
Dem Church Folk is a humorous look at churches. Bubba Lee grew up in a small southern church. As an adult, he looks back at some of the problems his church faced and most churches still face. The characters are quirky and a touch over-the-top. Marion W. McKenney is a talented author. She captures the southern dialect perfectly. The problems faced in churches are the same regardless of the denomination or size.
