Overview
The newest short story from writer Brian LaFave explores the dynamic between a famous writer and his son, who is trying to get into the literary world, one way or another. When Lincoln Vernon quit his construction job (after an accident netted him a six-figure payout) to focus on his writing career, little did he know that three years later he would be back working construction for his brother-in-law. While demolishing old houses for a new subdivision build, Lincoln stumbles upon a manuscript hidden in the walls of an ancient farmhouse. What will Lincoln do with the manuscript and how will his famous father (a Pulitzer Prize winner) factor into his moral dilemma to publish the manuscript under his own name or give the original writer his dues?
