Meredith Stone has an enormous case of writer's block and has no idea how to start her second novel. Even more embarrassing she has no idea how to explain to her editor that the ideas for her first best seller came to her in a dream.

Dax Thelassian's problem is that nearly every word of Meredith's novel is true. A portal from the demonic underworld really does exist on a ranch in the Texas Hill Country. Dax and a few other half-human half-demon warriors have spent the last two and a half centuries watching evil energy build.

Now that battle is imminent, Dax is determined to pry the truth from the sexy but naive writer. Does she hold the key to the one item that could keep the world safe and allow him to embrace life as fully human?

Meredith Stone, a new writer had no idea that this would be her only book. Having gotten the idea of her book from a dream, Meredith was shocked when a man named Dax came to her book signing. Dax a half human half demon warrior needed to find out what Meredith knew of the demon war and he needed to find out which side she was on. Demon Fire was a very fast paced story. It was only 54 pages according to Amazon, so that was the reason it needed to start fast & stay fast. I enjoyed the story. We get quite a bit of information about the characters. I wish it was a bit longer so we got more of their background. With that being said it was still a good book. It can easily be read in a sitting. I especially enjoyed the fact the character wrote a book based on a dream. I find that interesting and when I speak to authors personally that was always one of my favorite questions to ask. Did you ever have a dream and add the information to your book? A nice quick read! Rating: 4 Heat rating: Hot Reviewed By: Rae Courtesy of My Book Addiction And More
