What can I say about this book that would capture the true essence of its story? One word... Phenomenal Yes, yes, I do believe my use of such a word is rightfully placed and I shall explain why. Take a seat and listen. :) I sat down with this story with the normal expectation of a good tale that overtakes me anytime I sit down with a new book. We avid readers all know that single expectation; to be propelled into an alternate world and entranced within the lives of the characters within. To daydream of ourselves being placed into the footsteps of the expected hero, the love to be hated villian or dare I say...the intended lover. Raaaawr. As I begun to read, I certainly found myself caught up in the last of those categories as I got my first glance at Tristan Bailey. And this was all within the first chapter. I mean come on...can we say Sexy SExy SEXy SEXY! (Do you think I have a weird obsession with males whom are deemed 'Bad Boys with a side of hunkalicious sweetness' or not?) His almost instant possesiveness of Josh Malone, without even knowing him, turned me on (*wink wink*) and sealed his everlasting fate in my heart as my heartthrob within the book and maybe just maybe in a bit of reality too. Enter Josh, whom instantly gave me that 'le sigh' moment and feeling. You know that feeling when you meet someone and you just want to hug and love and hug and love, ravage sexualy but in the most tenderest of ways (HELLO, where did that come from *cough*) and love and hug some more. Yes, that to me is Josh. So to you Josh, I say "le sigh" you sweet sweet sweet male. So at this point, I'm a couple chapters in (I know what your thinking...the same thing I was thinking. If I am so taken by these two males already, how ever am I going to get through the rest of the book without losing interest. Well I shall tell you. Very Easily. Amara enraptured us with these two men. Wether or not you are into this type of tale or not, she has given us a story of pure love. A love so deep and real that time matters not. Be it instant or not, Tristan and Josh live lives filled with hurt and sorrow, pain and secrets and through a heartwrenching journey for the both of them, they both are able to finally find happiness in the arms of..each other. To me, that is what it is all about and Amara Lebel has done just that. Bring on the next in this wonderful story because I CANNOT WAIT.
