DENIED, author Michael Rushnak’s third installment in his Medical Mystery Trilogy (Terminal Neglect, The Savior Vaccine and DENIED) is a great read you don’t want to put down! Greed, revenge, self inflated ego, undiscovered and untreated mental illness by people in leadership, scandalous behavior by ranking Vatican members, it’s all there and results in a gripping mystery that leaves you wanting more. The story is full of twists and turns that make you question if you really know what is going on. Will good prevail and evil be exposed? Will the Health Club maintain its control? Will the hero be able to continue on his fight for justice as he faces great loss and danger? As I read the book I couldn’t help thinking of the current real life scandals with the Catholic Church which left me with the feeling that this story is not really far-fetched.  This compelling story is not only plausible, I believe it can & does happen!! Truth really is stranger than fiction.

Although my view of DENIED may be in part a consequence of my work as a clinical psychologist, I believe that other readers will share my impressions. This book is another thoroughly entertaining page turner by Michael Rushnak which, by carrying the reader through a labyrinth of suspense spawned out of ambition and greed for power in the world of humans, ensures the thirst for more. This author creates a suspense laden and thrill filled world of intriguing characterizations. The important personalities dwelling in this story are so driven by emotions culled from the dark side of human nature that they reflect Freudian complexes of good vs evil which drive the reader with an almost urgent need to find out what is to happen next. The reader is drawn in by one clever plot twist after another as, and very slowly, the final truths are revealed.

Who will survive? In Denied, the final installment in The Health Club Mysteries trilogy, Michael Rushnak once again takes his readers on a wild ride. This time, the tireless Dr. Jonathan Rogers confronts evil in the form of the rogue Bishop Peter Shuls and dangerous, mentally ill Cardinal Joseph Gallagher. The lives of Dr. Rogers and his closest friends and family are forever changed as they race to stop Shuls and Gallagher. The results are shocking! Don't miss the heart-stopping action of Denied, the best of the series!

Edward Corrado- I cant get enough of Mr.Rushnaks books. His mysterious topics keep getting better and better. Denied is a completely different story of intrigue within the church. You never know what is coming next. he is truly a gifted and innovative writer and I hope he continues to write.

Another amazing novel in the Health Club trilogy! The characters come to life and I was really able to connect with each of them.  Denied is a real page turner, and once I put it down I could not wait to pick it back to read again.  I have highly recommend this novel to friends and family.  The combination of medicine and religion is very intriguing and was compelling.

This series gets better with each book. Michael Rushnak's ability to take an idea and create a mystery of epic proportions is genius. Its a real page turner. Im in the health field and I found it very well written. Using the medical field and religion as a basis for the story was interesting and proved to be a compelling read.

This book has lots of suspense and a surprise ending. It was interesting following the main characters; the Cardinal (would he set another fire), the Bishop (using the Cardinal) and Dr. Rogers (trying to help the Cardinal). While I was reading, I was trying to figure out who tried to kill Dr. Rogers while he was in Rome.
