I love how River doesn't shy away from real life issues. As a survivor of PTSD I applaud her. Jesse and Bell are hot as $&%#!!! Love Jesse's sarcasm and one linners!!

I'm sorry but this was hard to read and follow. The main female is confusing one minute she is shy and innocent then the rest she is just really lost and kind of annoying. The main male is a biker from hell, ok not from hell but like another lost character in my opinion. Ive read plenty of biker romancenovels and this one has to be the most annoying, I had another 100 pages to go but just cant seem to get myself to finish it. The concept was there just the way the characted actions and words are way off for me, reading the book kind of gets me angry/annoyed and conflicted on my emotions thowards the whole book. Maybe one day ill finish it but for now I just cant.

This is a hot series, and this book doesnt disappoint. I felt like there were alot of loose ends that didnt get tied up by the end but im hoping they lead to more books in the series. Im curious to know more about connor and dying to hear paige's(bells sisters) story. Overall great read.

Not my favorite of the series but still a good story. It kind of falls flat in certain places and I think it doesn't grab you like the first two stories.

The writing is excellent . That's the four stars. But I wanted to strangle them both , Bell and Jesse. Lots of push and pull in this relationship. Glad it worked out in the end but boy they aggravated me. LoL

Jesse...what can I say, he's sexy, foul-mouthed biker that doesn't feel worthy of love and dear God I freaking love him! I loved this story from start to finish, I tried to pace myself, but that went out the window about three pages in. This is such an awesome, well written series, I can't recommend it enough. Buy the whole series, lock yourself in your room and get lost in this amazing group of characters! I can't wait to read Beau's story....

I loved this series. Each book keep me interested and ready to find out what's next. Book one is my favorite. I loved me some Nix. The only reason I gave book 3 four stars is because Jesse was working my last nerves. I understand the seriousness of PTSD. I was just so ready for him to stop, think, and get his head out his pie hole. I'm just not sure I could of forgiven him as quicky as Bell does. That scene after the funeral hurt my heart so bad. Read the series you will not be disappointed.

FIVE STAR FABULOUS ★★★★★ “I’m all for a game, Bell, but I gotta know what I’m playing for.” ― Jesse Carter, Desertion: A Knights Rebels MC I've always been a big fan of River's work but I'm just gonna say that she has truly outdone herself with Desertion. This is her best one yet, and that's coming from someone who has loved Sy from Affliction forever. I knew from the Knights Rebels MC books, Incandescent, Affliction and Reclaimed, that Jesse was going to be a force to be reckoned with. Boy was I right. I love Jesse's smart talking, dirty mouth. Who doesn't. His personality is awesome. Learning the struggles he's been living with was heartbreaking. Watching him push Bell and her love away so much was so hard too. I love the interaction between Jesse and Bell and the love they share. They are definitely my fave couple!! There wasn't a moment that I could put this book down and walk away. It was awesome from beginning to end. I'm going crazy wanting to start it all over again. I'd recommend this book to all of my reader friends and then some.

River Savage has written another great story in this series. I was really looking forward to Jesse and Bell's story and River did not disappoint. Jesse, a former Marine and firefighter meets Bell, an emergency room nurse, in the emergency room. There is an attraction between them. Jesse is a man struggling with issues from his time in the Marines and Bell is a woman who is still searching for her sister who went missing 6 years ago. Bell asks Jesse for his help and he agrees on one condition, that they go out on a date. The chemistry between these two is steamy. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and recommend it as a must read.

I loved Incandescent and Affliction, really enjoyed Reclaimed and Paradox but while I have looked forward to Jesse's story it fell flat and Desertion unfortunately just did not work for me. I refuse to write some long convoluted review with multiple explanations so suffice to say that the impression I had of Jesse from the previous books is not the man in this book, he's a grade A a$$hole and I understand many will disagree with me and excuse his behaviour due to circumstances explained but for me, just plain no. Bell is a doormat who I spent the whole time wanting to find her backbone, which is surprising, as the two previous female leads were strong ladies. Having said that I adored Holly and Sy previously yet found myself screaming in my head `Look after your bloody kid` as they seem to get rid at every opportunity as did Nix and Kadence. This one felt like it had almost been written by a different author and I realise many will still love it but while I didn't hate it neither did I really like it.
