About the Author
Íñigo Gutiérrez is currently a Lecturer in theEngineering Faculty of the University of Navarra (TECNUN), Spain.From 2002, he has held the post of Assistant Director of the RFArea of TECNUN and his research interests include integratedpassive filters using varactors and integrated transformers for RFapplications. Whilst at the University, Dr Gutiérrez hasparticipated in several research projects involving varactors forindustry and the Basque Government. He has also authored 4technical publications and made 8 contributions to internationalcongresses.

Juan Meléndez is Assistant to the Director of theCommunications Area of the Centro de Estudios e InvestigacionesTécnicas de Guipúzcoa (CEIT), at the University ofNavarra. He is also Assistant Professor in the Laboratory ofComponents and Elecromagnetic Compatibility at TECNUN. Sincejoining the CEIT, he has been Leader on a number of projects forinternational companies, developing wireless systems for domesticapplications and implementing Six-Sigma methodology for thedevelopment and characterization of Wireless LAN applications inSiGe and CMOS. His research interests include system design levelof RF transceivers. He is a member of the IEEE and has authoredfour technical publications.

Erik Hernández is currently a Researcher in theCommunications Area of the Centro de Estudios e InvestigacionesTécnicas de Guipúzcoa (CEIT), at the University ofNavarra. He is also Assistant Professor in the Laboratory ofComponents TECNUN. Since joining the CEIT, he has been Leader forthe project ‘Passive Radiofrequency Link for ISM Bands’and has worked on different research initiatives for the companyIKUSI. He has authored seven technical publications and has made 10contributions to international congresses.
