Designers' Guide to EN 1992-1-1:2023: Eurocode 2: Strengthening of Existing Concrete Structures with Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP)
Designers' Guide to EN 1992-1-1:2023: Eurocode 2: Strengthening of Existing Concrete Structures with Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) provides clear guidance on the new design procedures to help practicing engineers to grasp the theoretical basis in accordance with the design rules for EN 1992-1-1. This book focuses on the design procedures, detailing rules and durability considerations providing simplified methods and refined analysis allowing practising designers to choose the appropriate method, understand better the design conditions and required material characteristics. Through practical design guidance and worked examples aligned with the design principles this book highlights the developments of the design methods and examines potential benefits for the design output.

It includes chapters on

  • basis of design
  • materials
  • durability
  • ULS strengthening, including flexure with or without axial load, and shear
  • fatigue
  • serviceability limit state
  • bond and anchorage
  • detailing.

This book is essential reading for any practicing engineer, specialist or industry professional tasked with using FRP to Eurocode 2.
