About the Author

I live a life where I play many most women do when they are a wife, mother, and caretaker of a rowdy dog with an appetite for furniture. But when I'm not working my day job, or spending time with my family, I can be found glued to my laptop where I love to create worlds with sexy alpha males and brazen heroines. I'm also an avid fan of heavy metal and rock music, and regularly attend music festivals with my better half.

I was given a review eBook copy in return for a honest review. A year after the sudden, tragic loss of her husband, Marissa Landon Frasier, has decided it's time to move forward with her life. Newly introduced to the BDSM lifestyle, and is invited to a member's only club. There she spends the night with Master X. Six years later, Cole Stockton can't forget the one night he spent with Marissa, but business brings these two together again. Can these two have something more then the agreed upon contract? Can they find healing and love? Can Cole find redemption for the wrongs he committed? Erotica is not something I read often, but I really enjoyed this well developed story. I found Marissa's back story relatable and true to life. This was a very moving read, that just didn't focus on the physical, but emotional aspects of the characters. I felt Marissa's pain and understood her reluctance to move on after the accident. Cole was so controlling and domineering, plus after learning of his crimes, it was hard for me to see him as a hero. Still, there were many layers to him, that at times, I found endearing. The twists in this plot had me worried for them, and really kept me on my toes. I loved the ending though. Nicely written erotic suspense. - Sarah

I had never heard of this author when I asked to read the book. It was a chance I'm so glad to have taken! The story was intensely emotional and the sex was crazy hot. It was a story about conquering grief and learning to love again after thinking it was impossible. It was also a tale of realizing you could be loved, even when you feel like you're not very lovable because of past faults that have carried consequences. Marissa and Cole fell fast and hard, even though it was the last thing either of them wanted. She had lost what she was convinced was her one and only true love of her life and had become solely concentrated on her work. Cole was spending his life paying for a mistake from his past and trying to hide his true self from those around him and ultimately himself. When they come together it's an insanely sexy connection accompanied by a constant pull and push with each of them doing one or the other at different times. As much as Cole wants to stop pulling away and give his heart to her, it isn't possible until his past is rectified. He's not even sure if she'll want him after she sees him for who he really is. Marissa has secrets of her own that could shatter the fragile hold that's tethered them together so far. But when the bottom falls out and everything around them crumbles the truth about what is ultimately important in life is revealed to their hearts. Past secrets and sins can be forgiven when the only thing that matters is being able to love each other. The beginning brought tears of sadness, as well as several other times throughout the book...then there were more tears at the end but they were happy tears of knowing that these two damaged souls had found solace within the other. I will most certainly read something else by this author!
