For anyone who has ever gone on a family vacation, this delightful story evokes the fun, adventure and excitement of loading up the car and taking off for sites unknown. The author delightfully captures the essence of the Maine seashore as she relates the activities and foibles of what can happen when a family 'hangs out' together. I loved the illustrations that captured the 1950's sensibilities in a timeless story that my grandchildren loved as I read the story to them!! I highly recommend this book for youngsters of all ages.
