So so so many emotions with this one. I've been Team Cal since the beginning, but I finally started to have my doubts. Their relationship is such a mess and get so ugly, that I wasn't sure they could move forward. And I really like Zane as well... can't a girl just have two boyfriends? Sister wives style... or brother husbands? It could totally work. A lot of secrets are revealed throughout this book, and so many things make sense now. Amidst all the relationship and family drama, there's a pretty epic war brewing. I loved the role Ari played and how strong she became. There were more heartbreaking losses, but there were also some lovely reunions. I was so stressed out the whole time reading this, not knowing how it would end. I loved it through, and I'm looking forward to reading the series again. ***I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.***

Once again, Siobhan Davis’s easy-going writing style, ability to bring characters to life and brilliant plotting techniques that had me hooked from word one are leaving me ALMOST speechless. Destiny Rising is one more showcase for Ms. Davis’s magnetic writing style in a world balancing precariously on an upcoming decisive moment in time. The government is feeling the pinch of the revolutionaries trying to free both Novo and Earth from the self-serving clutches of those in power. The time is now to take a stand and Ariana, Cal and Zane are backing freedom for the masses. But, every choice has a consequence and the consequences of the choices Ariana has made will be far-reaching and painful for all. Her powers are growing exponentially, her emotions running wide open and the path her life will take is still a mystery. Two boys, one a pillar of strength from the past, one a raging flame from the present, there is a rigid triangle that may end badly for all. Is there a way for Ariana to let one down and grasp onto her future with the other? Her heart knows what she wants, but her brain must deliver the blow, all while the fog of the future still clings all around. Who will Adriana choose or will she choose to save them both by sacrificing herself and another who has no voice to choose? Holy tumbling triangles, Siobhan Davis has dodged the over angsty bullet and pulled off this three-sided love affair, no easy task for any author, yet, she never missed a step, a beat or hung on too long in one place, after all, there is a war going on and the stakes are much bigger than three hearts. Using three POVs, the most inner thoughts of Cal, Ariana and Zane are stripped down to simple words and tumultuous emotions as their tale unfolds. Time waits for no one, and time is running out. The revolution has begun and someone needs to see it through to its conclusion. Will heroes die? Will the side of right prevail? When the dust settles, who will remain standing? Picture the best carnival ride ever speeding along, twisting and turning, with moments of total darkness and glaring light, leaving you breathless and that is how Siobhan Davis writes! Reel after mental reel are played, cataloged and saved for future reference, mere memories of a series about to end and Siobhan Davis has chosen a most satisfying ending, no matter who you are rooting for! Hang on tight, as we are catapulted into a tale that will wreak havoc on your heart and soul, bring out your warrior spirit, all set to full steam ahead! When Siobhan Davis writes, I read, I get lost in each moment and almost miss my stop back at the reality station. That is brilliant writing, brilliant storytelling, pure Siobhan! I received an ARC edition of Destiny Rising from Siobhan Davis in exchange for my honest review.

I was given a copy of the first two books in this series by the author in exchange for an honest review. After reading the first, I just HAD to buy the novella that comes between 1 and 2 and read that first. After reading 2, I HAD to buy the other novella as well as book 3 when it came out. I'm not disappointed that I did either. This series is extremely good! It combines my love of dystopian fiction, along with my love of paranormal things. And we even get a bit of tech nerdiness and Sci-Fi as well. The only reason I gave this book 4 instead of 5 stars is purely because my own desires and wishes as far as Ari's choices in the book were not met. That is selfish, but hey, I had my ship and I didn't get it! I have to admit, however, that the way the book and series ended was well done, and while not the way I'd have liked things to play out, did make sense within the story. I can't thank Davis enough for enticing me into this world of hers with the first two books and I definitely recommend this series for lovers of the genres I've mentioned.

Oh. My. God. Before I can even get into all of my thoughts about this book let me just say this. YOU NEED TO READ THIS SERIES! The first two books are just a set up of the mass amounts of craziness that will make your mind feel like a tornado of craziness with all of your emotions constantly slapping you in the face. I can’t remember a book that took ahold of me as much as this one did. There were so many times where I told myself that it couldn’t get any more twisted, and what does Mrs. Davis do? She throws bomb after bomb of events into this world. I was absolutely hooked! This is probably my favorite installment of the series so far (I still have to read the two novellas). There is so much going on, but at the same time it isn’t to the point that it makes the story feel like it is a mass of confusion. There were so many tragic and happy events happening one after the other that you had no idea what you were experiencing as a reader. You were hooked, but not confused for ENTIRE the duration of the book. There definitely wasn’t a dull moment in sight! The character development was fulfilling as an end to the series. We get to experience the points of view from Ariana, Zane, and (for the first time!) Cal. As a reader, I could see the differences between the three books in the development of the characters and their reactions to each other which brought the story to a great ending. You know that feeling you get when you have about 20ish pages left in a book but there is just so much still going on that you don’t know how in the heck it is going to end? Yeah, this is that book. I felt like the book had so much going on that it ended with you face first into a concrete wall. I think the story concluded on a perfect note that left me satisfied. Questions are answered and events click together. This book received a full 5 out of 5 stars from me. I was literally freaking out alongside Ari, Cal, and Zane multiple times. It was highly enjoyable, easy to read, and extremely engaging. If you haven’t started this series yet, you know you are missing so much! Siobhan will grab your heart and soul with the ending of this awesome series.

(I received a review copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review. I have not been compensated for my review and receiving a free copy of the book has in no way influenced my opinion. This review is my genuine review having read this book. This review was also posted to my personal blog.) Where do I start? This was mind-blowing! I was very much looking forward to this, after all it concludes the True Calling trilogy. Ari has now regained her memory after her Vita implant was successfully removed. She remembered something dreadful that involved Zane and it made her feel guilty all over. She's not willing to open up tp Cal about it as she's afraid he will see less of her once he finds out about it. Throughout the book, it was fast paced and action packed, with the unfortunate loss of lives of several characters we know about. There was a big reveal quite early on that totally caught me off guard. I could not have predicted it at all but it made sense and you realise how it's connected to the past. Ari made her decision quite early on regarding who she loves most and wants to spend the rest of her life with. I had secretly hoped that she'd change her mind in the end. But the author tackled the love triangle really well and I was very satisfied with the ending. The complete True Calling series is highly recommended and I now look forward to another brand new series (the Saven series) by the author!

~I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review~ Wow. I loved True Calling from the start, and Beyond Reach took off exactly where True Calling ended, leaving no room for questions. Destiny Rising slowly revealed what the last chapter of Beyond Reach meant, piece by piece with lots of hints. The first two parts of Destiny Rising accented this as well as starting off the Cal/Zane feud right where it stopped in Beyond Reach. The ending of Beyond Reach was both a conclusion and a cliffhanger, which proves that Siobhan Davis really is the master of endings. Her conclusions of everything, from a paragraph to the end of a book, have been spectacular and have made the length well worth the read. When Siobhan finally revealed the secrets hidden in Beyond Reach, she did so in a different way; instead of thoughts, she revealed using conversation, and this maximised the effect of her hidden hints. True Calling was great, and Beyond Reach was awesome. But Destiny Rising definitely took the series to a whole new level. The True Calling Series definitely deserves to become as well known as popular series such as The Maze Runner, The Hunger Games, Divergent, etc... It's that good a book, and I definitely recommend reading the series. At first, I was a bit nervous about how the ending of Destiny Rising would turn out. But Siobhan Davis overwhelmed me with happiness as I finished the book; she gave every deserving character a happy ending, as well as resolving the love triangle completely. I'm sad that True Calling has ended, but Siobhan Davis hasn't, and I can't wait to read more by her, including her upcoming Saven series.
