Great start to a new PNR series! The Guarded Souls Agency sure seems like an interesting place to work, and the first case they encounter is protecting a woman for whom fallen Angel Nathaniel has been waiting for his whole existence. In fact, he'd chosen her over his heavenly assignments but now he has to figure out how to let her know that she's his one. As it happens, Billie, a television star (think Buffy the vampire slayer), is being stalked by a fan who has sold his soul in order to claim her. Nathaniel will do whatever it takes to keep her safe and neutralize the threat, but the blackness of the fan's missing soul is a danger to him too. He'll need to ask for help from his fellow supernaturals to ward off the threat and save both their lives. There are some fun secondary characters and interesting plot twists, plus some sexy scenes as Billie and Nathanial discover that their connection is orgasmic (literally, haha). They get their happy ending, and I'm looking forward to continuing the series. It's a nice mix of action, worldbuilding and sexy romance!
