About the Author

Esperanza Amelia Rodriguez Diaz was born on January 5th, 1954, in Pinar Del Rio. Left Cuba on December 30th, 1968, for Mexico City, arriving in the United States of America on June 29th, 1969. Holds a High School Diploma from Miami Springs Senior High, an Associates Degree in Secretarial Sciences from Miami-Dade Community College, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Florida International University. Ms. Esperanza Rodriguez shares with her readers the opression under which her family lived while in Cuba and the strugle and courage required at a young age to leave Cuba. The author has impecable historical facts embedded in her personal story, a great read for its historical value. Great story, hopefully Ms. Esperanza will write a sequal that includes her life in USA and the strugles to succeed here. A definate must read!
