The Devil's Rose by Brom

From the creator of the celebrated Plucker comes a frightening glimpse into hell and the afterlife. Escapees from the fiery underworld fill the richly illustrated pages of this novel set in modern-day Texas. They terrify and slay the living while trying to elude the guards who have been sent to round them up. Cole, one of the undead, has been sent to reclaim these souls in flight and return them to the fiery depths. But one escaped soul is not like the others: Rath, who in fact wants to return to hell. But why? And why does Cole, a tormented soul from hell, strive to capture his fellow hellmates? It has to do with a woman named Rose—a woman he has wronged—and a pact he made with the devil.

LOVE BROM. Great illustrations. Brom is amazing when it comes to dark characters. Wish he would write more books like The Child Thief.

The Devil's Rose was great! The cover art does make you think of the movie Ghost Rider but honestly, if Ghost Rider wanted to be a good movie they should have just thrown out their script and done the Devil's Rose version. It has the same Hell bound air about it like Ghost Rider but this story is way better, more detailed, thought out and meaning behind it. The art is phenomenal, Brom does a great job with these dark characters. It's definitely worth a read. Very creative.

I have only read a few pages of this book. And I was instantly sold by the artwork and the literature it contained. Granted it is a 'Ghost Rider' all over again, but this is a more indepth story, so much more richly detailed then the comic book. Don't get my wrong, the comic was great, this is easily a head above the comic though. Very well done. Will be a joy to actually sit down and read this. The imagery it will conjure will me a pleasure as well
