Altough I did enjoy this book, the page by page editing notes that never were removed and some not implemented, were soooooo very annoying and distracting!!!

This book was poorly edited. I had a very difficult time keeping up with the plot, due to the editing notes found throughout the book.

This wonderful story takes us on a road many of us wish we were on. Finding real true love truly makes everything better. This is a story that could actually happen. Great job!

This book really has a great story line. The fact that it shows ppl making bad decisions but working to get that true love they deserve is great.... Very emotional!!!!

This book could have been much better had it been edited properly. Editing notes can be found throughout this book. Whatva distraction. With a little more work this could have been a great book...

Although the love story was the apex, the story of the individual characters were compelling to say the least. For the characters to overcome som of lifes most challenging events one can only imagine. This story was so alive that it seem like a reality, the author peotry was so touching and heart felt I was floored with tears. Great Writing!!!Devyne Envy

This book started off alright; then took an immediate nose dive for the worse with all the indecisive behavior from Envy. She was one disgusting character. However Devyne's brother I found to be hilarious with his comments about Devyne & Envy's relationship. I will only give this book two stars because the direction started off good but again Envy seemed to be having a year long temper tantrum with Devyne by not telling him she was pregnant until just about the delivery date after being discovered by his brother. It was completely ridiculous. Girl tell your baby daddy! Yes he messed up, but come on lets be real she dragged the pregnancy on for the remainder of the book. The brother was a hot mess and kept me laughing except for his relationship with his brothers friend. Yuck! But it is what it is. Happy reading!

My Black Cinderella Devyne is a wealthy hardworking man that has much responsibility at such a young age but continues to strive daily to take care of his family. He has no problem with attracting women, which is not a top priority for him. Envy is a successfully, independent woman that tends to attract losers that are no good for her. One day the two meet. Both have major drama within their families as everyone does and they realize that their love and the bond they hold together will never work unless they do what is right within their hearts. Sankofa's novel, "Devyne Envy," reminds me of my current relationship and how I wish that things will be as simple as Devyne and Envy. I really enjoyed reading this novel as it made me laugh, smile, and cry. I would recommend "Devyne Envy" to all readers that need a genuine novel to escape the many issues that are currently occurring in the world today. Reviewed by: Tekisha
