Dew Angels, by Melanie Schwapp, is the deeply moving and powerful story of Nola Chambers, a young Jamaican girl born with black skin into a fair-skinned family.  Because of the color of Nola's skin she is subjected to cruel treatment by those within her family and the village in which she lives.  Even Nola's father physically and verbally abuses the young girl who has been exposed to prejudice and bigotry her entire life. Author, Melanie Schwapp, cleverly masters the use of imagery in this heartfelt and genuine work of fiction which paints a vivid picture full of the sights, sounds and scents of Jamaica along with the sweet innocence of young Nola on her path of self-discovery.  - Nola's compelling journey is a heart-breaking triumph!
