She can't shift, but she can shake their world.

Caroline Bradley is having one hell of a week. Her wolf lover has sniffed out his mate, making her an instant free agent. Not only that, Takhini territory has been overrun with aggressive bear-shifters electing a clan leader, and the wolf pack is feeling the effects—pushing her diplomatic skills to the limit.

Tyler Harrison is a grizzly on a mission. If he's going to win the majority of the bears' votes, he needs one final thing: a female companion. The only woman in town with influence over wolves, humans, and more bears than he'd like to admit, is Caroline.

Despite the sexual pull between them, though, Tyler's not seeking a permanent relationship. And Caroline isn't looking to be anyone else's political pawn. But she should have remembered that when shifters are involved, changes happen in the blink of an eye.

None of the other reviews make sense. I love this author and this book was worth the wait. It left me panting for the next in the series. I want to see how Evan captures his eluscive mate, and I have a feeling there will be more coming that involves Ainsworth, Justine and Amanda.

This was such a wonderful book. It's the first book that I have read from this author and it definitely will not be the last. Caroline is highly efficient and very loyal but tired and needing a break from all the shifter hassle she deals with daily. With the Bear enclave in town she is a little more stressed then normal. Tyler is the Alpha of his clan and one of the lead candidates  for what is basically president or king of the bears. He really wants this position not just for himself but because he truly believes he can make the world better and safer for all the bear clans not just his own. THe only hitch in his plan is the unexpectedly sexy woman that has him hot and bothered with just one look.  This was a fun book with very likable characters. I can't wait for the next in this series to come out and I highly recommend this author. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

The series title is a little misleading for this book. While, yes, it is still part of the same Takhini Wolves series and takes place in pack territory, the hero is a bear and the heroine is a human. I haven't read a lot of bear shifter book, but I love the ones that I have read and this one is no different.  The bears in this story are voting in new leadership. They are converging in Takhini Pack territory where Tyler meets Caroline. Caroline has recently broken up with the pack alpha, because he has smelled his mate. She knew this day would come and that her situation with him was temporary. Bears do not have fated mates like the wolves. Tyler doesn't want a wife. Even without the fated mate thing, we have an instant connection between Tyler and Caroline. This is another great addition to the series. A great combination of humor, sexiness, characters, world building and plot. Overall, a great series. Can't wait for book four.

Loved the shifters and how a human raised with shifters can really hold her own with ANY man/beast.

4.5 Stars ~Reviewed by FRANCESCA & posted at Under the Covers Book Blog DIAMOND DUST may just be my favorite book in the series! I’ve always liked Caroline, the human dating the wolf alpha. They had a good arrangement, being together until he found his mate. She is tough enough for the job, tough enough to handle the wolves, and human enough to surprise other shifters with all of her knowledge of their world. When the bears come into town, that brings along Tyler. He’s the typical bear, which I love. A bit self centered, expectant that things will go his way, not the brightest when it comes to wooing women. But he’s extremely hot and possessive. From their first very unconventional meeting, Caroline and Tyler have excellent chemistry. They have an easy way around each other, with just the right amount of bickering and sexual tension. DIAMOND DUST was a short but extremely enjoyable read. A great addition to the series and the perfect start in the search for our lovable alpha’s mate. Can’t wait! *ARC provided by author
