Cathy Foster, a paleontologist, takes us on her journey to Madagascar to find evidence of the dinosaurs relationship to birds.
This book is about a paleontologist named Cathy who takes a trip to Madagascar with her team to uncover some new fossils. The fossil that she is after is one of the rarest and hardest ones to find: bird fossils. She is trying to prove that modern birds are desendants of dinosaurs, and new fossils are the key to discovering the missing link that may prove her theory. I wouldn't personally use this book as a read aloud but it may be helpful to older students who are learning to do research on different topics.
