About the Author

Daniel Marçal de Queiroz: Ph.D. in Agricultural and Biology Engineering from Purdue University, post-doctoral fellow in the same field at the University of Florida. Currently, he is full professor at the Federal University of Vicosa, working in the areas of precision agriculture and agricultural machinery design.

Domingos Sárvio M. Valente: Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa (2010), post-doctoral fellow at the University of Illinois. Currently, he is associate professor at the Federal University of Viçosa, working on research in Precision Agriculture and Digital Farming.

Francisco de Assis de Carvalho Pinto: Ph.D. and post-doctoral fellow at the University of Illinois in Agricultural Engineering. Currently, he is full professor at the Federal University of Viçosa, working in the areas of precision agriculture, artificial vision and image processing.

Aluizio Borem: Dr. Borem is a senior scientist with a successful publishing carrier. He has published 120+ books in English, Portuguese, Spanish, Mandarin and Korean. With Springer Borem has published several other books in different areas of Agronomy.

John K. Schueller: Ph.D. from Purdue University in 1983. Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Affiliate Professor of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at University of Florida. Prof. Schueller is the Chair Editor-in-Chief of Computers and Electronics in Agriculture and serves on the Management Committee of the Club of Bologna.
