This book is aimed at senior-level engineering students and can also used by graduate students and practicing engineers whose experience has been limited to continuous-time theory and want to see how discrete-time systems are designed and/or have only seen classical design tools and want to learn modern state-space design tools. The increasing use of digital technology in control and signal processing increases the importance of analysis and synthesis tools for discrete-time systems.
