Overview

Looks can be deceiving.
I knew that most people took one look at the ink and the impossibly big and strong body it covered and decided I was a brawler...a bruiser...a beast. However, I was hardwired to be a thinker, not a fighter.
I should have chosen to use my brain and talents to be one of the good guys, a hero, a man with dignity and worth.
I turned my back on dignity and sold my soul to the highest bidder, deciding to dance with the devil, instead.
I couldn't figure out how to help myself, so there was zero chance I knew how to save someone else.
That someone else was Noe Lee. She was the unkempt, unruly thief who was just as smart as I was and twice as street savvy. She was annoyingly adorable beneath the dirt and grime, and she was in trouble. In way over her head, I told myself it wasn't my job to keep her from drowning. In the Point, it was sink or swim, and I wasn't the designated lifeguard on duty.
I shut the door in her face, but now she's gone...vanished...disappeared without a trace. It took less than a second for me to realize that I wanted her back.
When a woman comes along that melts all the frozen, hard things you're made of; you'll do anything you have to, to bring her home.
What you see is not always what you get...and with a man like me there is more than anyone ever bargained for.

This is the first book I have read from this author. UGH! The editing! I love the story line and the characters. But get a real editor. I found multiple mistakes on one page. Both spelling and grammar. This is fixable. The writing itself is good. But the editing needs work. Spend the money on a good editor!

I have no idea how Jay Crownover manages to blow my mind with every new read. The Point is not a place known for happy endings. It's where bad guys go to get worse or get gone. Stark, AKA our Boy Genius, has been living the somewhat low life after signing his life away to the Devil in The Point. He's like his machines: cold, effortless, and efficient. Cross him, his boss, or his low set of morals and he can wipe your existence from the electronic earth. Little does he know that a little thief has come in the night to steal away the hard wires he hides behind. Noe has earned her spot on the streets; if the Devil is how you get in, then Noe is one way you can get out. She's worked hard to erase the past she left behind as she helps victims of abuse escape. But one heist leaves her in the cross-hairs of the one man who can dig enough in to her past to find her and put her back in the limelight of her dangerous past. And now he's the only man who can help save her. The devil's in the details on this one as Noe slowly draws out more and more of Stark's personality as they race against time and a city that's after them. There is quote after quote that I could go back to that gutted me. Noe is a woman who is strong in a new way. She's been through something horrific that happens more than it ever should. And through it all she risks putting her self back in to the terrifying memories as she tries to help those going through a similar situation. Stark can't help but find beauty in the strengths that she shows. Noe awakens a part of Stark he hasn't felt since he was younger: the empathetic side that he only let loose when he vengeance got the best of him. Watching Stark go from machine to man, emotionally, was so drool worthy. He's not know for much words but when he opens his mouth, boy does he have some lines that will make any girl fall. (#theearrings ... they KILL ME). There are snippets to those that we've seen in The Point as well. Ben's got his moment (swoon!) as well as Bax and Race's reputations play a part. And don't think that Titus sits out when all hell breaks loose on his city; the good-cop-acting-bad is a key player as Stark and Noe plan to take down the biggest criminal The Point has seen in some time. With a city on edge and one of the most electrifying couple I've ever read, DIGNITY is an automatic 5 star top read once again from Crownover!

I had a hard time bringing myself to read the book compared to the other ones because of the horribly done, photoshopped cover. But like they say, don't judge a book by its cover! I enjoyed the book and will buy more!

I won't lie, you will be hardpressed to fimd a book of Jay Crownover's that I don't love. This book is again another fantastic story. The plot line and the way previous characters from The Point series are interwoven in this novel, without detracting from the main charcaters story is genius! I love catching up with previous charaters while hearing about new(ish) ones. It was fun getting to meet Snowden Stark in a whole new way and I love how both characters are badasses while being geeks. I also appreciate how just like in all of her books, the female lead isn't just dependant on the guy in her life, but is equally as fierce and can handle herself. I highly recommend any and all of Jay's books and this book is a great addition the The Point series! Read it, love it.

Dignity is a fast paced book with a couple of hottie nerds, I enjoyed this book so much, the tension between the characters was electrifying and I just couldn’t stop reading it, I basically finished it in one 2 hour plane ride, it was/is that good!!! Stark and Noe have so many things in common sadly that includes a past that has changed them and shaped who they are and what they do in the present. Stark’s story was heartbreaking and also intriguing I wanted to know more about him when he was younger, what he did and how he got it with more details. Noe story I’m afraid is darker and sadder than Stark’s , she was adopted when she was young unfortunately her foster brother never saw her as a sister but more like a property, the descriptions of the abuse was hard to read but necessary to get an idea of who Noe is and also to admire her for who she became. The love story was both sweet and sexy and I enjoyed reading that part, them getting to know and trust each other. This world that Jay Crownover has created is so intriguing to me and each character is unique and interesting and I just really cannot wait to read more.

Snowden Stark is an awesome, brainy, strong, hot anti-hero. His and Noe's story is perfectly imperfect. Love the guys and gals from the Point!

I waited so patiently for Stark's book that I wanted to take my time and savor every word. However, I couldn't put it down! It was suspenseful and addicting. I couldn't have asked for a better plot for Stark - Jay is the best!

I was excited to hear that we were getting Stark and Noe's story next in this series. In Noe, Jay has created a kick-ass strong female character whom I love. Both Stark and Noe have been through a lot, I mean it is The Point, but they find their match in each other. I loved the chemistry between these characters and once again Jay has created an original story that sucks the reader in. Can't wait for the next installment!

Wow. Just wow. This book is so much more than I could have asked for. It was absolutely amazing. The pointe happens to be one of my favorite places to get lost in and each and every time one of these books comes out I am sucked in from the beginning. It takes an amazing author to be able to grow something so beautiful out of such a broken and messy place. Absolutely amazing writing and story and absolutely amazing book.

Stark. Snowden Stark. I have been waiting for boy genius’ book for a while now. And, oh my goodness, was it worth the wait! Once again Jay Crownover’s characters leap off the pages and make you question your definition of good and bad. As with all the inhabitants of the Point, Stark has a heart wrenching background. We learn that he was placed in morally ambiguous situations from an early age. The corrupt use of his off the charts intelligence, coupled with hardcore training and the loss of two of the most important people in his life, come together to create the mechanical man that we know as Stark. He has completely shut himself off from feeling, which leads him to close the door in Noe’s face when she comes asking for help. Almost immediately he regrets his actions and works to rectify them throughout the book. And he does so in the most delicious ways. Noe Lee was a perfect counter balance for all the hardness that was Stark. She faced horrific circumstances growing. The fact that she escaped and is using her intelligence and talents to help other victims is beyond admirable. She never lets the darkness over take her, which is exactly what Stark needs. She is strong and confident on her own, but with Stark at her side, they make an unstoppable team. The only criticism I have for Dignity, is that I wish it was just twenty pages longer. I wanted more scenes between Stark and his father and more interactions of Stark and his sister in the past. I wanted more detailed scenes of how hard Goddard fell. And I wanted a more retributive scene when she went to her brother’s condo. He deserved far worse than he got. A couple of side notes, I loved the job offer Noe accepted at the end of the book! It’s perfect. Stark’s tattoos were fabulous!! And finally, I loved that every time Noe called Stark, Snow I thought of Jon Snow, which melded nicely with Crownover’s character inspiration of Tony Stark.

I love everything Jay Crownover and as I've taken the journey through the Point, I've fallen in love with each and every one of her troubled men, although Bax will always remain my number 1 in the Point. Up until now, none of Jay's men have been able to top Rule or Bax, but I've got to say Snowdon Stark is right up there with the two of them, my duo has now become a trio. I can live with that. In the story Stark is portrayed by Noe as being a super hero, not once does she call him Clark Kent, but in my eyes that's who he was, my superman. He is quietly ridding the Point of evil. Not the bad that is blatant and sometimes cruel, but the underhand evil and sinister that are dirty police, dirty politicians, people who are in positions of trust that betray the people they should be helping. Noe also is doing her bit to help those who cannot help themselves. Both of them have been wronged by the system and together they are a force to be reckoned with. Beautifully written (as always), in dual POV, with characters that are beautiful both inside and out, strong, with a hint of vulnerability. The chemistry between Stark and Noe is off the charts with some super sexy time that would make my mother blush, it certainly had me checking over my shoulder as I was reading. I've got to say I loved it, so much so that I read it twice and it's been a long time since I've read a book twice in short succession. I wasn't willing to let them go, I wasn't finished with Stark, I loved him, add into the mix, the short funky spark that is Noe and these two lost souls had me hooked. Is 10 Stars an option?

The Point is a fictional city where the bad guys are HOT. In the first Breaking Point book, we met the Devil, Nassir. You hate to love this bad man. In this story, we meet super smart Snowden Stark. He's built. He has tattoos and piercings AND wears glasses. SWOON. Noe Lee is no joke either. She hides herself in boy clothes while living on the streets to protect her identity. These two are a match for each other! This story isn't TOO dark either. Even though it is set in a dark unlikeable place, you will want these "bad" characters to come out on top. Jay has a way of spinning the wrong doers in a good light. I loved it. It is a must read book by any Jay fan. The chemistry is spot on as is the story. I'm anticipating what's next for these Point characters.

4.5☆ Dignity was so good!! It's one of my favorite books set in the Point for sure! I always thought Stark was really interesting and unique and really wanted to dive into his mind. I loved being in his head and seeing how he thinks through and comes up with everything that he does, he really is a genius. He's not always a good guy, in a way he's a mixture of Titus and Nassir, but I still love him anyways. I didn't know much about him or Noe, but I really enjoyed learning about them and how strong individuals they are, especially after finding out about their really sad pasts. They're fighters and both have good heads on their shoulders even after all the terrible things they've been through. They help each other when things get tough and are there to bring each other back. They fit very nicely together and I enjoyed reading about their journey. The storyline was great as always. The Point always has something new and troublesome going down and that was definitely the case in Dignity. It sucked me in right away and kept me hooked and dying to know how the cards would fall in the end. It was very well written and I liked all the relevant themes and messages that Jay included. It's sad that things like this happen in life and that people can get away with these types of things. She does a great job shedding light on these issues and writes it all with care. It was great being back in the Point and I absolutely cannot wait to be back in it to read about Booker and Karsen. I've been waiting for their story for a long time and I can't wait to see how they come together.

Jay Crownover never fails to astound me with the undeniable beauty, grit and depth of her stories. With the issues that actually happen in the real world that she's able to tackle and weave flawlessly into her books. Going back to the Point will always make you feel raw and exposed with everything that happens in it. Stark and Noe's tale in Dignity is certainly no different, and it was absolutely pure genius. Jay truly took their story to a whole other level and it paid off exceptionally. I fell head over heels in love with these two and their story that will pierce through your heart. Right when their beginnings got touched up on in Honor, I was already intrigued as hell. With the level of intelligence they have, I knew their book would be nothing short of spectacular and unique. And Jay did not disappoint at all. The way they were together, that level of understanding and chemistry and intimacy between them was unlike any other I've read about. It was beyond fascinating. It all even ran deeper because they connected, not only with their hearts and souls, but most especially with those brilliant minds they have. This is yet another book that you should definitely read and add on to your TBR. It's one you wouldn't want to miss nor pass up on. Jay just has this way of knocking you sideways with her words and the significance of her stories. She makes every single thing relatable to her readers; she makes you feel like you're watching a movie every time you get sucked into her books, and that's one of the things I love about her and her writing.

What a great return to The Point! Smart is sexy and scary. And Stark is bringing both in spades. And Noe might be the most badass girl the Point has seen so far. If you are a Jay Crownover fan, you will see Jay is at her very very best in Dignity

My heart was ripped apart and put back together by these two. Ravaged, absolutely ravaged and then peace.
