Yes I rated it above 5 stars. If you love or just like bead embroidery then this is a MUST HAVE book. If you are a seasoned beader then this book is good for reference and may even teach you a few new tricks. If you are a beginner then you definitely need to get this reference guide. Ms. Eakin covers the basics and then delves into a number of new dimensional stitches. The result? Your projects take on life they are not just flat. I am working on a new piece at the moment and I've already used two of the stitches she has shown in this book. She even shows how to use that special component with the odd shape you've been hording waiting for the right inspiration. Eakin also shows how to connect those components to design those creations you've always dreamed of. And the projects are not bad either. All around this is a great book to have in your library. I have Ms. Eakin's other books and as always she doesn't disappoint.

If you've ever tried to do bead embroidery with cabachons and given up when it got to the peyote stitch bezel, this book is for you! She has a much easier, more intuitive approach to bezeling which she explains in detail. In addition, she shows you how to get around problems like things without a flat back and irregularly shaped objects. Her directions are both detailed and clear with an excellent use of pictures. I actually feel like I can make my own project now and not just admire other people's work.

For a complex process, this book is surprisingly easy to read and follow. Great directions, lucious pictures, made me want to start a project of my own immediately. I want to have the examples shown in my jewelry box! Also kindled my imagination, how stones or gems I would use could be intreprested. You end up feeling it is a leaping off place for creativity rather than a recipe book with set projects you have to do only one way. One of the best Beading books I've come across, and am glad I added it to my library.

Great book with easy to follow directions. The only thing is I wish the directions included detailed step by step photos. Other than that I loved this book and it has helped me learn a great deal about bead embroidery.

I have several bead embroidery books and this is the most helpful one I own. Jamie does a wonderful job of explaining each technique and has included techniques I hadn't seen in the past.
