When Shiori Ayase comes across a casting call to dance on stage for Winter’s Wrath with a model she idolizes, she jumps on the chance. She needs this opportunity to break free from the control of her step-father, and she made her sister a promise on her deathbed. One that involves learning if the Trousseau brothers are the type of men that can be trusted. What better way to find out than by spending a few weeks with them on the road?

Brave Trousseau has to face the damage he’s done to the band in his efforts to push his younger brother away. But then his goddess, a young woman with a sharp wit and moves that drive him crazy, joins the band on tour to take over the sexy performance meant to entice the crowd, Brave ends up more than motivated to be on his best behavior.

Unfortunately, he’s not the only one enchanted with the girl. Malakai Noble, the band’s bassist, has always been a strong, steady presence at the core of Winter’s Wrath, but he’s now become Brave’s most bitter rival. How can Brave show he’s changed with Malakai's constant reminders of every mistake he’s made? With the band on the line, and Shiori stealing her way into his heart, maybe there’s only one way to prove he’s the better man. And that’s by letting her go.

5 Star Review of Diminished (Winter’s Wrath #2) by Bianca Sommerland This is book two in her exciting new series and I couldn’t wait to read it. This is Brave Trousseau, Malakai Noble and Shiori Ayase story; just their names sent shivers up and down my spine. Whilst this is a stand alone, I do feel that you would get even more enjoyment if you were to read Backlash first. I am probably one of the few who actually liked Brave coming into this story, for some reason I don't totally get, I just really related to him despite his antics in book one of the series, Backlash. Brave, Malakai and Shiori's story drew me in even more than the first book; these three together is so right. They each bring a uniqueness to the relationship that works on so many different levels.  Unbeknownst to the band Shiori has other reasons for wanting to join the band and be as successful as Danica whom she will replace when the band goes on tour to Europe.  The connection and camaraderie (both good and bad) felt by all the band members towards each other makes this series a success. Whilst they have issues , no-one will look after them as well as their band mates.;this care and protectiveness also extends to Shiori.  I loved how both Brave and Malaki really struggled to try and allow Shiori the room to succeed with the fans without trying to take over. Diminished sees a different side to the arrogant and surly Brave and I loved how he was with both Malakai and Shiori, physically and emotionally.  Bianca Sommerland peels the layers off these characters one by one, just like an onion. There are so many issues impacting all of the band members, and the depth that was created in these characters was so multi dimensional that I was in awe. This was at times a raw, emotional, gritty and sexy read; I love the direction that Ms. Sommerland has take with Winter's Wrath and I cannot wait for more. Take a chance on this series, I know you won’t be disappointed.

Book 2 in the Winters Wrath series and this is the book I was waiting for, I wanted to get inside Braves head and that's exactly what you get with this book. The band are back together and touring but Brave is not in charge and even though he is trying to be a better man it's going to take a while for the rest of the band to forgive him. A new dancer who is a hot temptation for both Brave and Malakai (the bassist), a new band member and Alder still getting over being stabbed really gives you one heck of a story. This book has it all,it's about love and trust and if you love hot musicians who are into raunchy sex this is the book for you, that being said I do believe you will get much more out of this book if you read book 1 Backlash first. Another great read from Bianca Sommerland

Another smash hit with Winter's Wrath!!!!! Okay, that is as corny as I can get, but a reminder that there is some fun in this book as well :) This book is full of crazy, sexy, hotness, with sexual tension vibrating off the pages, so be prepared This is the second book in the series, but, you could read it as a stand alone. The characters connections and stories are explained in brief for what came before. We also get more development on those in the band, because, really, this is the second book, so only one has had the spotlight so far Brave had a lot to answer for with his actions before now. Trouble is, as much as he changes, everyone still seems to think he is the same guy he was. It isn't easy to stay in his new and improved Brave when no one sees you that way. He needs to stop being what he thinks he should be, and be the him he is comfortable with, and finding that ain't easy. Plus, after years being the old him, slips are bound to happen along the way. If anyone has any doubt they won't be able to forgive Brave, his vulnerability will easily win you over Shiori was a breath of fresh air in a metal band, a sweet, florally, minty, wind. She has motives for being there, but they aren't sinister. She has a determination that leaves you awestruck at some times, and cringing at others, but rooting for her either way. She is a genuinely nice person, who thinks of others, in everything, at everytime, and has her heart out for all to see. She inspires everyone she meets to be her friend, and she doesn't take it lightly when they take up that mantle Malakai is still the dark, brooding, incredibly soulful, man he was before. Trouble is, he doesn't just want Shiori under his protection, he wants her period. Also, there is this weird vibe that is trembling between him and Brave. The whole thing throws him off his edge, and protecting everyone leaves him vulnerable and exposed. His defense mechanisms keep kicking in, and that doesn't help anything. In fact, that makes him feel worse. It isn't easy for him, or Brave, as old habits are easy to fall into when overwhelmed in the present Luckily, these three aren't alone, they are in a band. As dysfunctional as it may be, they all care deeply for each other, and have each others backs. As Brave, Shiori, and Malakai move through their story, they grow. They also learn, growing starts with yourself, and knowing yourself, means reaching out when needed. Yes, there is a lot of emotion in the sexual relationships, but some of the sweetest moments were between aunt and nephew, brother to brother, band mate to band mate, and friend to friend Now, about the rest of the band, can't wait for more from them!

In Backlash, I didn't like Brave to start with, but I had hopes the author would change my mind in Brave's story. Well, she did. I love Brave now. To see things from his point of view really helped to see why he did things the way he did in Backlash. I love the relationship between Malakai, Shiori, and Brave. There is heat between them all, but there is also a form of innocence in the way they are learning to love and show love to one another. I loved catching up with the rest of the band, as well. I adore Tate, and I can't wait for his story when it comes. Connor, we haven't actually heard a lot about him, so I am not sure about him yet. I think it will be an interesting story when it comes, though. Loved this book and can't wait for more of this series.

Book two in the Winter’s Wrath series totally lives up to the quality of book one! We continue to follow the band through their ups and downs, adding a sweet new little wrinkle to the mix in Shiori. Will she be a glue to bring members of the band closer together, or a wedge to drive them apart? Bianca weaves a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat from the first page to the last. As it was while reading Backlash (book one) and now Diminished, you feel like part of the band, watching it all happen. You can feel the thrill of standing on stage, Alder’s fear over the attack seven months previous, Brave’s desire to outrun his demons and be a better man, and Shiori’s desperate need to earn her place on stage, and a better life for her nephew. All of the characters continue from Backlash into Diminished (well, all but the one doing 3-5 years in prison). While Diminished focuses primarily on three members of the ‘family’, the others provide the background in the fabric that make the whole picture. You don’t have to like music or metal to get drawn into the story. It is all-encompassing and a universal story of love, forgiveness of self, and personal growth. Definitely going in my iPad’s “repeatable” folder to read again!

Bianca never disappoints with her books and Diminished was no exception. The second book in the Winter’s Wrath series focuses on finding love for Brave. Will it be Shiori who longs to become the next dancer for Winter’s Wrath or bassist Malaki? They both have so much to offer Brave if he is willing to open up and let them. Shirori comes to the band with her own secrets. How will the men react to them? We also learn more about Valor, the older brother that Brave and Alder lost. I just could not put this book down. Bianca once again makes us feel all the feels! Can’t wait to see what’s next!

Book 2 of the Winter's Wrath series is definitely a must read (after you've read Diminished, of course). Most who have already read the first book would say that Brave Trousseau is not a favorite of theirs. While I had some issues with him in the first book, I could see he was trying to change and I sort of understood where he was coming from. And man has he come a long way!!! Malakai Noble, oh my!!! Is this guy hot or what??? So protective of those he cares about, including Brave even if their relationship has been more adversarial for the last few years. And even though he can see how Brave is trying to change he is leery to trust him again. Enter Shiori Ayase... Neither man was expecting the immediate reaction they felt as soon as they saw her. But there are so many reasons they need to hold back. Not the least of which is the impact it would have on her fledgling career. But the chemistry, OH MY LORD!!!! I absolutely recommend this book (and series) to anyone who loves dominant males, hot relationships, and a great story!!!

m/m/f Diminished (Winter's Wrath #2) by Bianca Sommerland picks up shortly after where the first book Backlash(Winter's Wrath #1) left off. The band is back together but Brave is not in charge. The guys are just starting to forgive him and he is trying to be a better man and bandmate. Diminished is several stories bound into one terrific tale. We find out more about Braves dysfunctional relationship with his older (now deceased) brother Valor, we meet the innocent seeming Shiori Ayase who is the new dancer for Winter's Wrath and a temptation for Brave and the band’s bassist Malakai Noble. Alder is still dealing with the trauma of getting stabbed. And we get a new bandmate. Mix it all up and you have one hell of a tale. This is more than rock and roll romance this is a tale of love and redemption. There is love, music and some steamy sex and I loved it all. Can’t wait for more.

If you read the first Winter's Wrath book and fell in love with this band than get ready to fall even deeper in love with this one. The author has a way of making you fall in love with her characters as they are so well developed you come to believe they are real (I mean we all know they are right ) Another wonderful read by this author
