Dinosaur Valley based on 0 ratings. 1 reviews.
Based on meticulous research of dinosaur appearance and behaviour, Dinosaur Valley's simple, story-like text follows a mother Orodromeus with her baby chicks, as they search for food, encounter other dinosaurs and avoid predators. The beautifully illustrated story is enhanced by an extensive 9-page illustrated appendix for older readers, and a spectacular double fold-out spread of a dinosaur dig, with numbers and captions to explain all the details. Highly recommended for children aged 6 to 10.Mitsuhiro Kurokawa lives in Tokyo, Japan, and has illustrated a number of children's books. In 1988 he visited the well-known Tyrrell Museum in Alberta, Canada and took part in a dinosaur excavation. That experience inspired him to bring the prehistoric world of dinosaurs alive for children. This book was first published in Japanese in 1991, and was translated into English by Chronicle Books LLC in 1992.
