Dirt Bird by Wes Sturdevant

Raymond is a lonely man. His only friends are the pigeons he keeps. He is convinced that he is meant to be alone. But when an exterminator with anger management issues shows up at his building to take care of a rat problem Raymond begins to realize that his role in the world might be more important than he ever could have imagined.
This short novella is a little bit creepy, a little bit silly, and a whole lot of fun.

About the Author

Wes Sturdevant is obsessed with story. His passion to become a storyteller led him from his hometown of Bloomington, Indiana, to Chicago where he studied at Columbia College Chicago and earned a BA in film production followed by an MFA in fiction writing.
Currently he is busy developing a number of graphic literature projects including the graphic novels Distractions, illustrated by Maza, (available now from Graphicly) and Sins of Omission, illustrated by Josh Johnson (slated for 2012). His first children's book, Sleepy & Hollow and The Headless Horseman's Head, a collaboration with illustrator Kris May, will be available for Halloween 2011. He is also working on other writing projects for both children and adults.
Wes lives in Indianapolis where his lovely wife, darling daughter, affectionate cat, and irrepressible three-legged mutt somehow find a way to tolerate his peculiar sense of humor.
