Overview

Widowed father of twin girls and descendant of a political dynasty, Aiden Raines has been going through the motions since he lost his wife, throwing himself into work and focusing on taking care of others. He might work a few too many hours, but he's getting by and he isn't interested in rocking the boat-or getting involved in another relationship. Until he finds himself growing keenly aware of the woman who's been right under his nose for years...

Samira Esfahani moved to DC and took the job as a live-in nanny when she was running away from a failed marriage. After learning how wrong she'd been about her ex-husband, she wasn't ready to trust her romantic instincts again, but if she were to decide she wanted a man, Aiden Raines would be the prototype for the perfect one. Unfortunately, he's also her boss, and off limits in more ways than one... until one kiss changes everything.

As much as Samira wants to be with him, she's leery of trusting her heart-especially if being with Aiden would thrust her into the political spotlight, or worse, leave her hiding in the shadows as his DIRTY LITTLE SECRET.

Wonderful third book in this series by Lizzie Shane! This is the story of widower Aiden Raines and his nanny, Samira. Very honest look at a current issue, Prejudices based on religion and ethnicity. This is a very emotional story that addresses abuse, family expectations, the tragedy of Dementia and losing a loved one. But... it is still very much a romance. One that has you cheering for that seemingly elusive HEA. Well worth the read!

Dirty Little Secrets by Lizzie Shane.......Oh my goodness...this book gave me all the feels, I could not put it down. Aiden and Samira have so many obstacles, but I loved seeing things developed in their relationship. Lizzie Shane is an amazing author and always gives us a story with all the feels. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Don’t want to give away any of the “secrets” in this story because the author weaves a tale of love, hurt, personal growth, learning to trust, and so much more that I couldn’t even begin to do it justice. Dirty Little Secrets is, at its heart, a love story between Aiden Raines and Samira Esfahani. They are from two different worlds and each have to deal with their own demons (and personal to them prejudices and expectations) in order to eventually get to their HEA. And may I just say, wow. Some really powerful messages weaved into this story, folks. And some characters you will not like at all, some you will want to lock away in a basement until they come to their senses, and some – like the twins! – that will just make you smile. The story is relevant to this time in the world, too. Great story; don’t miss it.

Kudos to Ms. Shane for tackling controversial issues in this book. Not only does she have a Muslim heroin, but the hero is from a prominent political family and has political aspirations of his own. Wow! It gets even more complicated, because Samira is the nanny taking care of Aiden's twin daughters. Is there any way in this messed up world of ours that a love can not only exist, but survive between the two of them? This book is thought provoking and hopefully will make readers question their own prejudices and preconceived notions of peoples of different nationalities, skin colors and religions. In the book when Aiden is confronted by his young twins about religion and what Muslim means, he is at a loss as to what to say. They ask if they can be Muslim. This is the response: "You don't have to decide that for a long time," Samira said. "All you have to remember is that people aren't automatically good or bad because of the religion they practice. All the religions I know, they all want us to be better people. That's the beautiful thing about them. They all want to teach us how to be good and kind. That's the best thing in any religion, being good and loving one another." A simple lesson we could all use. The love between Aiden and Samira is not simple. It's complicated, messy and hurtful. The book has all the goodies of any good romance. There are sweet, sweet heart-stopping moments. There are heated, sexy moments and there is the the HEA (although I wasn't sure how Ms. Shane was going to pull that one off). She did a wonderful job. Dirty Little Secrets is well worth the read.

Lizzie Shane has written yet another wonderful book which is hard to put down until you finish it! Although this is the 3rd book the Bouquet Catchers, it is not necessary to read the others first, but seriously why wouldn't you read them?! Aiden is widowed with twin daughters and is raising them with the help of his nanny. He is from a political family where it is just expected you will run for office. He and his nanny grow closer which makes running for office a bit complicated. Great story of how love can bring people together and make things possible! I voluntarily read an ARC from the author for an honest review.

An awesome read! This is the third book in the series but easily read standalone. It's a wonderful story of a love between two people that has to endure and overcome prejudices, judgements, religious differences and much much more. Aidan Raines is a young widower raising twin daughters with the help of their nanny. It's been a few years since the loss of his wife and he now finds himself having to face the fact that he has developed feelings for Samira Esfahani - the nanny. Even though Samira too has feelings for Aidan, she's hesitant due to the political spotlight Aidan lives his life in. An interesting story that is unique and fresh. I would definitely recommend this one.
