150+ pages I wanted to like this book. I really, really wanted to. I had been so disappointed in some of Ms. Vale's recent books, I almost stopped buying them. However, her last book gave me hope. Then, came this one. Unusually for most authors, Ms. Vale's early books are much, much better than her later work. Most authors improve with experience. The most disappointing part of Ms. Vale's later work is that I know what she is capable of producing. There are holes in this book so wide you could drive semi's through. Important things just missing that drive the story. So much of the time, I was just trying to figure out what was going on. Then, there were the details that were made into something huge and then just dropped. For one example, the cell phone lost in prison. Another issue was the complete implausibility. Basically, everything involving the prison. Just, no. Ms. Vale, if you are at all possibly reading his review, here's a little advice. Slow down. Stop trying to produce so much and make what you are writing worth reading. Take the time to write all the words that need to be there. Go back and read what you've written with a reader's voice not the author's voice. Find different or more beta readers. The ones you have, are clearly not being truthful with you. You are better than this. You owe it to yourself, your characters and your readers. I honestly believe if you would just slow down, your books would be totally awesome. For now, I'm taking Ms. Vale off my auto buy list. I wish I wasn't. Oh, last thing, the blurb for the book...if the names hadn't been right, I would have been positive it wasn't for this book. C'mon already.

I love that she's giving us books each month, BUT it does seem to take away from the quality of the text. Ms. Valets earlier books were well developed and had great plot lines . Her recent books, however, are written like long summaries. I get confused because details are missing.

I'm used to a higher quality book from this author; this book was slightly disappointing. Mrs. Vale does a great job of weaving storyline and characters through all of her books. Details in one book, often lead to characters in a later book. My issues were: 1. Using the same descriptive words, only sentences apart from each other. 2. Developing a critical piece of the story and then just dropping it. Such as the missing cellphone. 3. The blurb didn't really fit these characters.

This series has some of the best stories and characters. Past characters merge with this series from other series. Just plain awesome writing.

It was hard for me to get into the book with the flip-flipping viewpoints. I didn't like main characters, either. Very hard to believe the hero was in law enforcement when he constantly had anger issues. Couldn't even finish it...

First off for this book isn’t like your typical MC romance books. This book doesn’t revolve around a world filled with crime, drugs and sex like most books in this genre. This book is more like a contemporary romance novel where the guy just happens to be part of a MC club as well. If you have been wanting to try a MC romance but haven’t in the past due to some of the content I would highly recommend giving this book a try. Ridley’s life changed forever five years ago when his wife was killed during a home invasion. He life now revolves around his brotherhood with the Uncertain Saints, his sister’s family and his work with the Sherriff’s department. He vows to never allow himself to get close to a woman again knowing he can’t bear to go through that kind of pain again. When Ridley’s sister needs a ride to her doctor’s appointment Ridley ask one of his coworkers if he can give her a ride since Ridley is scheduled to work. Tragedy strikes for Ridley again when his sister and his friend/coworker are involved in a wreck and Ridley’s friend dies. Guilt eats Ridley up, if he had just driven his sister none of the would have happened. Just when things look really low for Ridley he meets a beautiful ER nurse who looks like she is facing her own struggles and he can’t help but feel a connection and pull towards her. Freya’s life has been one big loss after another. She lost her parents at a young age leaving just her brother until her brother dies in a car wreck. He as her everything: her best friend, her companion, her shoulder to cry on. She doesn’t know how she can go on by herself and she doesn’t know that she wants to. Until Ridley comes into her life turning her world upside down. He is everything she needs, strong, caring and protective, everything she lost when her world came crashing down. These two have both suffered horrible heartache in their lives but together they can rebuild and move on. I loved these two characters, they were so good for each other and their love and passion was beautiful. I received an eARC of this book compliments of the publisher in exchange for my honest review and opinion. All ratings and opinion stated are my own.

Ridley & Freya Never will I figure out how Lani makes each book better and better than the last. Ridley is an Alpha to his core but sometimes life throws you curveballs that you're not quite ready to catch which is what happens in this case. He has always had a protective streak and it comes out when he see a pretty nurse being picked on and not standing up for herself. It leaves him intrigued and drawn to her like a moth to a flame. Freya has always been the underdog in her eyes but could always count on her brother to be there for her. Unfortunately an accident rips him from her life and she thrown in to turmoil until meeting Ridley the man who will steal her heart over text messages and conversation. When theses two finally come together the chemistry is combustible but what I loved most of all was the emotional connection that they both tried to deny but couldn't because love will always come out on top. I recommend this book if you're looking for romantic suspense, along with some action thrown in and a woman who knows how to use her guns!
