I wouldn't quite say this book was ??? I would give it more of two flames. Definitely a good intro to the dark romance genre. Story wise I really like how it's set up. It's in a way where you know there's a darkness without overwhelming you. You have to use your imagination to really understand what Jessica went through. Even as things are revealed it's enough to make you empathize but not make you cringe. Characters were really well developed. I loved how she just accepted her life as it was and was unapologetically full of attitude. Even until the end she was true to her character. Brax on the other hand was facing character development. I felt toward the end who he was was really washy because it was a mix of who he wanted to be and this new improved sadist. I believe that was because in the beginning although he was straightforward, he never showed a dark side to him. It would peep out like a groundhog but never any shadow. The ending was anticlimactic which is the only disappointing part. There was plenty of buildup to really build a show but it was cut at the roots. There was no mess there was no struggle and I felt that some dirtiness to their issues would really bring out the story. Overall it was a great book and I'll definitely read more from this author.

I absolutely loved it! Skeptical at first it isn't a hearts and flowers love story. But all I can say is the twists and turns... Holy moly it had me reading and my stomach in knots. Read it! You won't know you are riveted until the 2nd chapter, but trust me you won't be disappointed. Awesome author!!!

I've read some sick and twisted s%^# but just a few pages in and I wasn't sure if I could continue. I'm so glad I did. This book was so much more than I expected. It started off one way and morphed into a story full of deception, depth and surprises. Bunny and Braxton are both deeply flawed and broken but are the only ones that can put each other back together. Watching their relationship grow was both heartwarming and heartbreaking. It was truly amazing when everything came together. I cannot wait to read more from K. Webster!! - I'm not seeking release until I break her. Because she's already broken me.

I don't 5 star often because there should always be room for improvement as far as writing goes as well as life, but there is absolutely no way that I could give this less than that. Ms. Webster showed genius as far as I'm concerned with this one. It won't be an easy read for a lot of people as it touches on topics that could be triggers. The book starts out with you wondering what kind of man Braxton Kennedy really is. You immediately get the sense of what type of book you've gotten yourself into right from the start. The irony of how wrong you are is laid out throughout the book, and you won't believe your eyes. Jessica has a past - and not a happy one. She's living on the streets, prostitutes herself for whatever she can get and spends most of her days drugged out of her mind. Braxton picks her up and has her sign a contract agreeing to be his for 6 months. She's too high to read it and signs (basically for the safety of 6 months and the cash at the end). She has no idea what is in store for her, but then again, neither does he. He's never had such a soul encompassing attachment to a "toy" previously, and she's not reacting as all of the others have either. She confuses him on so many levels. Her outright fear of the "princess room" where she will be staying is not only baffling to Braxton, but the readers as well. She wants to forget all, but he'll have none of that. She pushes every button that he has. Just when he thinks that she'll break, he does. It's not falling for your captor,it's not hero worship, it's not forced submission, yet it kind of is all of this and more. This is a roller coaster ride that has the pages turning like never before. I couldn't figure out how they could ever get (even close) to an HEA with the way the story progressed and the detailed information about their pasts were revealed, but the writing was so exceptional that you couldn't help but hope. I was gutted so many times during this book on so many levels. I almost cried when he sent her off to meet her fate near the end. I didn't see it coming - nor did I anticipate the events that would later transpire. The epilogue...the perfect way to finish off the complex story that was woven. There were even a couple of surprises in there as well. This is, by far, the best book that I have read in 2016. I would highly recommend it to all readers. This was my first read by K. Webster, and I look forward to reading more from her.

I was totally drawn in to this book by the cover! This was my first K. Webster read and I really enjoyed it. When a book starts off with a disclaimer that asks you to keep an open mind that is exactly what I do. This is not a typical romance. There is some ugliness to it but you have to know that going in by the title. What I loved so much about this story is it took hot literary avenues that are popular these days that I've read and loved and put entirely new spins on them. Braxton Kennedy is my new BBF for sure!!! He is a troubled Alpha male with a loving heart, he just doesn't understand it. He didn't grow up in an idea life but he came out better for it and while he still has demons and thinks he is sick he really is a knight out to save but he is just riding a dark horse. Jessica aka Bunny is OMG one hell of a strong women and exactly what Brax needs. While you read this story you think you know where it is going but it isn't what you think. Loved this book, totally recommend, #OneClickNow #ReadOn

Wow! What a book! This is a dark, twisted, gut-wrenching story that grips you from page to page. It is also very hot! Brax and Jessica both have horrific pasts that have made them both troubled individuals. Together they are explosive, both sexually and emotionally. The question becomes, can they heal each other? This book deals with some really deep, dark subjects. It is full of emotion. If you don't like erotic books or dark topics you may want to steer clear but if you enjoy this type of book then grab this one now. This book is exceptional and will keep you engaged from beginning to end. My only problem when reading this book is that I did not want to put it down. If I had not had to work, I would have read this cover to cover in one sitting. Get. It. Now. Complimentary copy rec'd in exchange for an honest review.
