About the Author

I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with my husband, Alex. We've been together since I was 16 years old. We have a 2 year old English bulldog name, Butters. (Yes he was named after South Park!) He's our only child for now...we spoil him rotten.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies. I work full-time as a paralegal for a mid-size law firm. I always loved the legal field and found it to be very interesting. I more so "secretly" loved to write.

I'm a hopeless romantic. I dream and breathe romance movies, books, and of course writing it. I love chocolate, coffee, singing, dancing, and surrounding myself with positive people.

One of my favorite books of the past year. I love discovering new authors and I think this author is going to be big.    I want Marcus for myself, he is so sweet but so tortured. He wants to be a better man for Mia. Was really a great first book by this author and I look foward to reading whatever she puts out next

Good grief! I don't know about anyone else, but I found Mia nearly unbearably annoyinb and immature. A first year law student behaving like this, really?! Addionally, I simply felt this book was poorly written. I struggled to get through it and eventually started to svan pages for pertinent information (which I never do) just so I could move on. Not good.

I'm a fan of this kind of plot and with the positive reviews I didn't think it would hurt to read the sample. Only 7 pages into it and I'm already so turned off by the typos and italics in every other sentence that I don't want to read anymore. Oh, plus the author seems to get her tenses mixed up. Wish I could have continued, the plot sounded pretty good.

To unrealistic. Meet sayingbthey love each other in a week etc... and i personally like a strong male lead. Marcus was to submissive and feminine to me

The first 2/3 of this book was terrible. Juvenille writing, terrible to no character development, ridiculous storyline. Just bad! Then it turns into a whole different beast that was engaging and compelling. Can't say i recommend but end made it worth reading at least.

After reading Disastrous. I was shocked to learn that this was El's first book. It was wonderfully written and the characters had so many sides to them. I think I love Marcus as much as my boyfriend. Thanks fot such a great romance!

Good story, poorly written. Mia was also more on the bratty side rather than fiesty. This plot has the potential to be a five star but its lacking in other areas.

I hope there is a second book and I can't wait to read it.

This book was not a good read for me. There was a lot of meaningless filler information. Several times I found myself rolling my eyes and checking to see if it was almost over.

I absolutely love this series! I loved every minute of the roller coaster ride that these books took me on. Mia is shocked when her professor tells her she has an interview for an externship. She’s shocked because she didn’t apply for the position & externships are only offered to third year students not first years like her. Her roommate Jeremy is also interviewing for it also. They go out to celebrate & Jeremy informs her that their potential boss, Marcus will be joining them. Mia gets drunk & Jeremy ends up leaving with a girl. Marcus makes sure she gets home safe. They go out for dinner the next night & get to know each other a bit more. Mia is worried about mixing business with pleasure. Marcus tells her that they are adults & will be able to keep their romantic & working relationships separate. Jeremy warns Mia to be cautious because there are rumors that Marcus has ties to the mob. As Mia & Marcus embark on their journey together their story is jam packed with love, sex, lies & betrayals. This book is definitely worth the ride. Add it to your MUST READ list. I was very pleased that book two (Cautious) was out by the time I read this because I would have gone crazy waiting for it. - “That’s what love is…it’s scary not knowing what’s expected, but I know it’ll be the best frightening love we’ve ever had.”

How did Mia know what number to call Jimmie when she did not even know whatmarcus'? I thghout the story is interesting. Some reminds me of Sylvia Day's "Bared to You." Going to buy "Cautious" to read next.
