Love, lust, and trust are always woven into a good romance book. The web Bethany Kris weaves throughout her stories are intricate and fast paced, but when you add in LOYALTY it is something altogether different. In a world filled with greed and people with dark pasts, even the imperfect can find their way through strength and determination. This is especially the case if you have the right people by your side, which this author has fully encompassed. I read both books in twenty-four hours between work and sleep, back to back. I’m not sure how to separate my reviews up now, so forgive me for putting this same review for both books. It just flowed so well, I’m not sure how to separate it in my head right now. So, to you, Bethany… Kudos! At times, I go back and forth on whether or not I want to dive into a series, because after you’ve read that last page you want a sense of completion. With this series, however, I think it was balanced perfectly. I’d recommend this to anyone who loves romance with dark undertones, because this isn’t a fluffy read. I’d also recommend this to anyone who loves mafia, mob, or gangster type stories. Heck, even if you don’t… I just recommend you give this one a read. Enjoy!

****I voluntarily received an Advance Review Copy of this book in exchange for my honest review**** The continuation story of John and Siena was amazingly intense filled with betrayal, violence and passion. It begins where the first book ended with John wanting more than his disease ruining his life, he wanted a stable life and the love of Siena. The two crime family in an all out street bloodbath and Siena being ruled and misused by her brothers. Siena became ruthless, risky and strong with the intentions to stand by her man. She was tired of her manipulating mother and corrupt brothers suffocating her and took actions to let nothing get in the way of her and John. Oh man, I loved this girl? John regained a stronger relationship with his family and stepped into his new life and role that was taken from him as a baby. I loved how the story reveals that no one should allow anything to derail their destiny with today’s new medical technology, great treatment and determination mental disorders isn’t life threatening just a bump in the road.

This town just wasn’t big enough for the both of these feuding mob families, folks. One of them is going to have to lose. When push comes to shove and blood starts to flow, the one left standing takes it all. The Calabrese clan not only have a score to settle with the Marcellos due to the explosive ending in book 1, but they foolishly think they have a right to ruin then reign over the Marcellos territory. Like watching a determined small dog nip at the heels of a much larger one, the Calabrese try to use sneak attacks to get what they want. What they didn’t count on was the patience, perseverance, and now mostly in control John Marcellos. With a great new therapist treating his bipolar disorder, his family, and his girl, who always have his back, he’s a new man, my follow mafia romance book loving friends. Siena Calabrese’s loyalty is clearly on the side of her family’s enemy. Using whatever means necessary, she does what she is told and then some to make certain John and she will get their HEA. After all, even her much younger two stepsisters’ futures are also at stake. With quite a bit of back and forth dialogue and setting the stage for murder and mayhem to set in, Siena and John are finally reunited. But one by one as people start to fall and vengeance is taken, it is more important than ever that they both hold it together long enough to let the mafioso tide turn in their favor. If you haven’t read book 1 yet, well, you really should get right on that. Otherwise, you won’t fully appreciate just how far John’s journey to reclaim his life has come. This once disgraced and disrespected, out of control young man is now on the path of his own redemption and destiny. Title: Disgrace, Series: John + Siena (Book 2), Author: Bethany-Kris, Pages: NL, need to read book 1 first, some mob violence, very graphic steamy scenes with lusty language, loyal to him no matter what heroine, bipolar mob hero, feuding families, HEA, romance safe, no cheating, no love triangle, no OW/OM drama. Book 1 - Loyalty, 3/5/18, Pages: 316 Book 2 - Disgrace, 4/2/18 (I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I was not given any payment or compensation for this review, nor is there any affiliation or relationship between this reviewer and the author/publisher.)

Loved this book.It was amazing, beautiful and so emotional. The war is raging on between Marcello and Calabrese family and John and Siena are fighting for their future. I liked how Siena did everything she could to help Marcello family win this war,she disobeyed her brothers and fought really hard to be with John. She is so smart, strong and supportive person. And her little partnership with Andino was really amazing. I'm really glad to see how John grow as person in this book.I'm glad that he chose his stability and decided to work on himself. The romance between John and Siena was so damn good. They are perfect for each other. The relationship between John and Andino is the definition of cousins love. They are best, and we got some really nice peek at Andino's story,i want to read about him more than ever. This book was great end to John and Siena story and if you liked Loyalty you are going to love Disgrace.
